Tropical Fringe Square Card by Amanda Wilcox

Aloha Friend!

Need a quick and easy summer card? This vibrant summer creation by Amanda is so cheerful and easy to create too!

To start out, Amanda got inky with distress inks on watercolor paper. She ink blended several summer colors onto the paper and then used drops of water, swirling them around to move and blend the colors. When she was happy with the look, she heat dried the paper and then added more water drops and white paint for texture. 

Next, she heat embossed the big square tropical image from our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set onto the colorful background. She added another detail by adding a little more color to just the big leaves with a bright lime watercolor.  What a fun special touch! She cut the panel out using our Frames Squared Die Set. 

For the sentiment, she stamped "aloha friend" from our Tropical Fringe Stamp Set onto another watercolored piece of paper and cut it out using our Circle Frames Die Set. She added this into the center of her card  and then mounted the whole creation on a white square card base. A bit of bakers twine across the top adds to the fun. 

We are inspired by how quick and easy this card was to create! You could make several cards like this in different color combos and add different sentiments for a collection of greetings that that are both fun to create and to receive!
