Newton's Birthday Trio Card by Zsofia Molnar

Birthday Kitty Trio!

Today's card by Zsofia is filled with two of our favorite things; rainbows & kitties! 

To create this amazing card she started out by cutting a scallop edged card background panel using our Frames & Flags Die Set. She inked up the background with a rainbow of inks and added rainbow swirls using rainbow foil with deco toner sheets. What a beautiful rainbow background!

Next she stamped and colored the image of the three kitties from our Newton's Birthday Trio Stamp Set. Those kittes are so cute with the speech bubbles calling out "Happy Birthday to you!" She colored them in shades of grey with fun fur patterns. The image was cut out using the coordinating Newton's Birthday Trio Die Set. She also added some glossy accents to the gifts and accessories!

She layered the image of the kitties over a vellum panel to help them pop off the rainbow background. This rounded edged stitched panel was cut out out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. 

This card is sure send a cheerful smile to the recipient on their birthday!

Always Paws for a Good Book Card by Samantha Mann

Cats + Books = A Good Day! 

What makes a day better than cats & books? Today Samantha is featuring both on her adorable card!

For this card she combines two of our favorite book and cat themed sets, Newton's Book Club Stamp Set and All Booked Up Stamp Set. She stamped the kitties on perched on stacks of books from each set and colored the books in a rainbow of bright colors! She used the coordinating Newton's Book Club Die Set and All Booked Up Die Set to cut the images out. She also included a pair of glasses from the All Booked Up Stamp Set, colored in purple. So cute! 

For her sentiment she used a speech bubble that was cut out from black cardstock using our Speech Bubbles Die Set. She stamped the sentiment from the All Booked Up Stamp Set, stamping it twice so she could accent the word "paws" with a pink pop up! 

Then it was all layered over a dotted background created from wide washi tape. So adorable!

Girls Grill Too Card by Larissa Heskett

Girls Grill Too! 

Do you know any ladies who like to grill? Today we are sharing a feminine grilling themed card by Larissa that would be perfect for them!

She created this card by first stamping the large circle image of grilling accessories from our BBQ Roundabout Stamp Set. She colored the images in fun bright colors with a color palette that has a bit of a feminine touch with bright purples added in. She then cut a purple gingham circle to go behind it using the big scalloped circle from our Circle Frames Die Set. She embossed the birthday sentiment from the Dad's BBQ Stamp Set onto a purple banner that was die cut using the small rounded rectangle from our A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and added that to the front.

Next, she created a white card base and stamped the individual images from the Dad's BBQ Stamp Set along the bottom to make a random pattern. She added black and purple splatters along with some iridescent gems to add fun detail. Then she layered the big circle image on top. 

What a great way to combine our two BBQ themed sets for a card that is perfect for a female grill master!

Reading Makes Ruff Days Better Card + Bookmark by Tatiana Trafimovich

A Card + Removable Bookmark! 

Today we are sharing a card and bookmark by Tatiana! This fun card features a bookmark that can be easily removed by the recipient to use! What a fun idea!

To create this card she started out by making a bookmark that fit on the front of the A2 sized card. Since our Bookmark Die Set is a little too long, she did a partial die cut, lining it up and cutting it a second time to make it a bit shorter. 

Next, she stamped the adorable pup on a stack of books from our All Booked Up Stamp Set directly onto the bookmark.  she colored the image in fun bright colors and then added some baker's twine for a tassel.  

For the card, she created a paw print background using our Petite Paw Prints Stencil and some white texture paste over a light gray panel. 

The last thing to do was the create something to hold the bookmark in place. For this she used a red banner from our Frames & Flags Die Set, adding the sentiment onto the banner from the All Booked Up Stamp Set. She also stamped and colored two sets of eyeglasses from the All Booked Up Stamp Set, cutting them out with the  All Booked Up Die Set. Then she added the banner and glasses to her card front, adhering  just outside edges so that the bookmark could slide underneath and still be removed! How clever!

Meow-garitas! Card by Maria Russell

MEOW-garitas, Please!

Today are sharing an adorable card by Maria that is sure to make you smile, especially if you like both kitties and margartias!

Maria started out by stamping the image of the kitty holding the giant Margarita from our Newton Loves Tacos Stamp Set. Next, she colored the image with fun bright hues on the margarita and added amazing shading and fur details on the kitty! She used the coordinating Newton Loves Tacos Die Set to cut the image out. 

For her card base, she started with a white card front and then masked off the bottom half before adding a distress ink blended background. Over this she added the fun kitty themed pattern, using our Meow Stencil with more distress inks.

The finishing touch is the sentiment "Let's get MEOW-garitas" from our Newton Loves Tacos Stamp Set, embossed in white onto a black banner. The banner was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set. 

This card is sure to make the recipient smile! And maybe even call you to schedule a time for margaritas!

Thank You Card by Farhana Sarker

Amazing Thank You! 

Today we are sharing a beautiful thank you card created by Farhana! This lovely card is filled with butterflies and flowers, a perfect spring combination!

She started out by embossing the big floral oval from our Best Mom Oval Stamp Set in gold. She added some soft colors to the flowers and cut the image out using the  Oval Frames Die Set to give it a scalloped edge. She also used the Oval Frames Die Set to cut a second oval, this time in bright purple to layer over the center. She added the sentiment from the Best Mom Oval Stamp Set onto this layer, embossing it in white. 

Next, she embossed a couple of butterflies from our Beautiful Wings Stamp Set onto vellum. She cut them out by hand but you could also use the coordinating Beautiful Wings Die Set. She added these butterflies along with some pretty rhinestone gems to the image.

For the last step, she cut a piece of patterned paper from our  Springtime Paper Pad the same size as her card base to cover it with butterflies! She layered her large oval onto the center for a beautiful card that is perfect for spring! Those butterflies and flowers go perfectly together!

Thank You Floral Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

A Fun Floral Thank You! 

Today we are sharing a thank you card filled with gorgeous florals by Tatiana!

For this card,  she created a whole field of pretty flowers using our Dainty Daisies Stamp Set. She stamped and colored the image of the daisies three times, coloring them in shades of red with bright green stems. She also added white splatters to give the flowers an extra bit of texture. She used the coordinating Dainty Daisies Die Set to cut the images out and then layered them across the front of her card, trimming off any excess parts that went beyond the card edge. 

Here is a close up so you can see the beautiful coloring:

For the sentiment she cut out a gray tag using our Tags Times Two Die Set and embossed "thank you" from our Signs of Fall Stamp Set inside of it. A bit of metallic string on the tag adds a little sparkle along with some iridescent sequins around the flowers.

Hello Everyone! This is Jennifer, owner of Newton's Nook Designs, and I couldn't resist playing along! I created two fun cards using the Therm O Web goodies today! First up is a card using our new cycling friends! I created a fun scene for them to cycle by using Therm O Web products! I added foil to the trees and created a die cut grassy area using flock sheets!

For my second card today I created an amazing firework background using rainbow foil from Therm O Web! When I saw this rainbow foil I knew it would go perfectly with our Fireworks Stencil! I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the stencil and then adhered the foil with a heat laminator. So pretty! It's the perfect backdrop for the image of the newlyweds in the car from our recent release! A bit of vellum and the sentiment give it the perfect finishing touch! I just love how this turned out!
