Howdy Partner Card by Samantha Mann

Howdy!

Do you ever make cards just to say hello? It can be so fun to send cards out to people we know for no specific reason other than to brighten their day! This card by Samantha would be perfect for just that! 

This adorable western themed card features the retiring Newton Rides West Stamp Set. This fun set features our favorite kitty in a variety of adorable Western themes. For this card Samantha used the image of the kitty wearing the cowboy hat and bandana along with several cacti. She colored the image in fun colors using pink hues for the bandana and band on the hat to coordinate with a an unexpected pink and purple landscape scene! The images were cut out using the coordinating Newton Rides West Die Set.

To create this fun landscape she created sections of landscape shapes by cutting them out using our Land Borders Die Set and Sea Borders Die Set and coloring them in different shades of pink and purple using distress inks. She added some colored and white splatters and even added stars to the top layer using our Cascading Stars Stencil with white texture paste.

The finishing touch is the fun sentiment. To create this she embossed the word "Howdy" from the Newton Rides West Stamp Set in white onto black cardstock and fussy cut it out by hand. Then she die cut letters to spell out "Partner" using our  Essential Alphabet Die Set. So fun!
