Season of Joy Card by Larissa Heskett

Season of Joy!

Today we have a fun and festive holiday card by Larissa! This gorgeous card features the big circle filled with cheerful christmas images from our Christmas Roundabout Stamp Set. She colored the image with beautiful vibrant colors and then used the Circle Frames Die Set to cut out the image and a fun scalloped circle to frame it too! She used the image from the Christmas Roundabout Stamp Set again on her card background, stamping it in a very light gray to add a soft pattern. The sentiment "Season of Joy" is also from the Christmas Roundabout Stamp Set and works perfectly, stamped onto the lower corner! A few splatters of black ink add some fun and texture!

Snowfall Card Set and Farewell to Amy Tsurtua

 

Snowfall Card Set!

Today we are sharing a set of snowy cards by Amy! She created a set of four gorgeous cards that would be perfect for sending a holiday or winter greeting! She featured the big circle of snowflakes from our Snowfall Roundabout Stamp Set, embossing it in white off the top edge of a colored cardstock panel. Then she added the sentiment "Winter Greetings", also from the Snowfall Roundabout Stamp Set, embossed in white on a stripe of black and placed that over the top. So simple and yet elegant and pretty!

Simply changing the color of the cardstock, she created a set of cards all in the same layout. This would be a great way to create a set of cards to give as a gift, or a great way to make quick and easy cards to send out this holiday season! 

I am sad to say that this project marks the LAST post for Amy Tsuruta as part of our Design Team at Newton's Nook Designs! Although we've only had Amy on our team a short time, she has had a big impact! She has inspired us so much with her lovely color schemes and thoughtful creations. We have learned a lot from her. We are so sad to see go but we know we will continue to be inspired by her in the future! We wish her the very best in her next creative endeavors. We know it will be awesome! This Happy New Year card by Amy is definitely in our top picks! She created this awesome celebratory card featuring the image from our Happy New Year Stamp Set, embossed in white on a black circle that was cut out using our Circle Frames Die Set. A background created with our Bokeh Stencil Set sets the mood in the background! You can find this card originally posted here.

For her other favorite, Amy chose this set of adorable shaker tags! The lovely shaker ornaments were created using our Ornament Shaker Die Set. She added them onto tags that were cut our using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. She added patterns to the tags too, using our Tiny Trees Stencil and Reindeer Stencil.

Snow-one Else Like You Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Snow-one Else Like You! 

If you like snowmen, you will fall in love with this adorable snowman by Tatiana today! She features the snowman holding a sign from our new Snowman Greetings Stamp Set. This set has a variety of different sayings that fit inside the sign and she chose to use the one that says "snow-one else like you!". You could also create a birthday card or thank you card using a different sentiment from this set! For her snowman she chose a fun pink and teal color combo and added fun polka dots with a white gel pen! So cute! She cut the image out using the coordinating  Snowman Greetings Die Set too. 

For the card background she cut a big circle from a panel of white using our Circle Frames Die Set. Behind the circle cutout she added the big snowflake image from the Snowfall Roundabout Stamp Set, embossing it with white and adding blue ink over the top. She also added some sparkle with sequins in coordinating colors! How pretty!

Happy Holiday Slimline Card by Zsofia Molnar

Happy Holidays!

Have you tried making slimline cards yet? If not, you will surely be inpired to try them after seeing this adorable card by by Zsofia! She combined lovely ladies from two holiday stamps on this card. The girl with the box full of decorations is from our Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set and the girl with the loads of gifts is from our Christmas Haul Stamp Set. She colored them both using the lovely red, green ad teal color combo and trimmed them out using their coordinating die sets (Christmas Trimmings Die Set and Christmas Haul Die Set). 

For the card, she created a slimline panel covered in trees by using our Tiny Trees Stencil.  Then she used our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set to add the panel with the tree circle cut outs. These are perfect for framing the two girls on each side. She added the sentiment from the Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set in the center. The stitched green frame around this panel was added using our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set and trimming out the center pieces.

Love You More than Treats Card and a Farewell to Andrea Shell

Puppy Treats & a Farewell to Andrea!

Today Andrea is sharing a beautiful French themed puppy card! 

She features the cute french bulldog from our Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set, surrounded by macarons. She did some lovely coloring on the puppy, giving him a fun red and blue outfit, complete with a French beret! Then she used creative masking to surround this cute french pup with a whole stack of macarons using our Love & Chocolate Stamp Set. She stamped them in light colored ink, layering and masking a large stack of them them around the puppy. She colored the macarons using the no-line coloring technique to give them soft edges! They look so gorgeous, and good enough to eat!  

She also added the sentiment "love you more than treats" over the top from our Say Woof Stamp Set. The whole scene is framed with a scalloped edge that was cut out using our Frames & Flags Die Set. What a lovely French inspired card! 

I am sad to say that this project marks the LAST post for Andrea Shell as part of our Design Team at Newton's Nook Designs! We have truly enjoyed having Andrea on our team for TWO incredible years! She also inspired us before that as a previous member of our Inky Paws Challenge Team. Andrea has inspired us with her creative cards and beautiful coloring skills on every project! We have loved every minute! We are so sad to see her go but we wish her the very best as she continues to grow in her creative journey. Hi, NND fans and friends!  This was my final project and post as a design team member, and I would like to thank Jennifer and the entire NND team for an amazing two years. For this adorable snowy scene, Andrea colored the snowman group from our Frosty Folks Stamp Set. She set the scene using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set and Land Borders Die Set for the trees and snowy hill. She also added snowflakes in the sky with our Petite Snow Stencil. Andrea created this gorgeous square Holiday card using our Holiday Fringe Stamp Set. She added on a scalloped frame with the Frames Squared Die Set and a glittery sentiment using our Holiday Greetings Die Set. Life is a picnic on this adorable card! Andrea used our Plaid Stencil Set in fun colors for the background. Then she added the kitty from the Newton's Picnic Stamp Set as her centerpiece. Dear Santa Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Simply Santa!

Today Ellen has created a simple, yet stunning, Santa card! She features the image of Santa with a big stack of gifts from our Dear Santa Stamp Set, stamping it onto a kraft colored rectangle. She then colored the image using colored pencils. Isn't it cool how you color shades of white over kraft paper? 

To frame the image she cut a scallop edged rectangle from light blue paper using our Framework Die Set.  Behind that she added a patterned panel of music, created using our Music Stencil with red ink on kraft paper. So lovely!

Warm and Cozy Card by Samantha Mann

Warm and Cozy!

Are you feeling chilly? This card by Samantha is sure to warm up your day! She created this adorable and cozy card by combining images from several different stamp sets. She started out with the branch from the What a Hoot Stamp Set, cutting it out with the coordinating What a Hoot Die Set. Then she filled the branch with cozy winter accessories, starting with the mittens from our Sweater Weather Stamp Set, adding the flip flops from our Sun Soaked Christmas Stamp Set, and ending with the stocking from our Holiday Stockings Stamp Set. Don't these items look so perfect together!? She colored all the images in coordinating shades of red and gray, with a pop of green on the holly. She also used the coordinating dies to cut them out (Sweater Weather Die Set, Sun Soaked Christmas Die Set, and Stylish Stockings Die Set). A little bit of twine attaches them perfectly to the branch! 

The whole thing is layered over a fun gingham background that was created using our Gingham Stencil. To finish off the cozy theme, she used the sentiment from the Holiday Stockings Stamp Set, embossed in white! So fun!

Slimline Christmas Shaker Card by Amanda Wilcox

Loads of Holiday Cheer!

Today we are sharing a fun and festive slimline shaker card by Amanda! She showcases three of the vehicles laden with holiday decor and gifts from our Destination Christmas Stamp Set. She colored the images in fun and festive colors and cut them out using the coordinating Destination Christmas Die Set. She added three extra gifts to the roof of the station wagon, using the single gift image, also from the Destination Christmas Stamp Set. 

Once all the images were colored and trimmed out she added them onto a fun slimline shaker card. To create the shaker window frame she used the stitched square window cut out from our Slimline Frames & Windows Die Set, which perfectly frames the images of the vehicles. Behind them she created a scalloped frame with blue cardstock using the largest die from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set. She also added snowflakes to the background with our Snowfall Roundabout Stamp Set. Then she assembled the layers together with some dimension between them to allow room for fun little sprinkles and sequins! 

The finishing touch is the sentiment, Loads of Holiday Cheer" from the  Destination Christmas Stamp Set. It was stamped onto a banner cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set.

Not a Creature was Stirring Card by Maria Russell

Not a Creature Was Stirring... Except for Three Mice! 

As the holidays get near, we are enjoying the adorable holiday inspiration from our Design Team! Today we have the most adorable mouse card by Maria to share! She created this fun holiday card using a trio of mice form our Naughty or Mice Stamp Set. She colored each little mouse in fun bright holiday colors and cut them out using the coordinating  Naughty or Mice Die Set. 

For her card she created a fun bright yellow panel and cut three circles out of it using our Circle Frames Die Set to create cozy spots for the mice! The yellow looks a bit like a big piece of cheese too! She added a mouse to each circle along with a couple of pine boughs that were cut out using our Pines & Holly Die Set. Isn't it so adorable?  She even added bits of sparkle and glitter to the images.

The finishing touch is the sentiment, embossed in white onto a black banner that was cut out using our Banner Trio Die Set.
