No-line Watercoloring Snowman Card by November Guest Designer Ashley Ebben

Hello friends! It's Ashley with my last guest post for Newton's Nook this month! The time has really flown by! For my last card, I decided to try a bit of no-line watercoloring. I am very new to this technique, but I thought the snowmen from Frosty Folks would look really soft and lovely this way.

I started by stamping the Newton and snowman from Newton's Curious Christmas onto white watercolor cardstock with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. I masked the image off, then stamped the Frosty Folks in Fadeout Ink as well so the images were layered. I then slowly watercolored everything in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. A few of the details ended up getting lost, but the soft effect is worth it, I think.

Once the watercoloring was dry, I splattered a bit of white acrylic paint over the whole piece to look like a light snowfall. I die cut it with a stitched rectangle, then added it to a piece of blue snowflake paper. I stamped the sentiment from Frosty Folks in a bright blue ink to go with the patterned paper and some of the blue watercolored spots. To finish, I added a scattering of clear snowflake sequins for some sparkle.
