Today's Featured guest is
Tammy Stark
Hi there! I'm Tammy, and I live in southern Nevada with my hubby, two amazing teenage daughters, and adorable pup. I have been crafting my entire life - from scrapbooking, to creating party favors, to more recently, card making. I actually taught scrapbooking classes for many years, and loved it! I discovered stamping and cardmaking when I was looking for products to make party favors for my daughter's birthday, and completely fell in love! I gravitate towards fun, whimsical, and happy designs that make me smile, and I can never turn down a good pun! When I'm not creating, you can find me drinking coffee with my sketchbook, thinking about creating, haha! I am ecstatic to be joining Newton's Nook this month as a guest designer, and can't wait to share my creations with you! Here's what Tammy created:
Tammy has created an adorable matching card and tag with our Newton's Snowman Stamp Set!
For the card, she colored image of the trio of kitties building a snowman from our Newton's Snowman Stamp Set in fun wintery colors! She used the coordinating Newton's Snowman Die Set to cut the image out. Then she created a gorgeous slimline scene for the kitties to play in! She our Forest Scene Builder Die Set to cut out some birch trees to set the wintery scene. The gorgeous snowy background was created using our Snowfall Stencil with white texture paste over a blue distress inked background! So lovey!
The whole slimline scene was framed with a scalloped edge, cut out using the large frame die from our Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set.
For the matching tag, she used the same colors on the image of the kitties from our Newton's Snowman Stamp Set but switched them up a bit so that the kitties are in opposite colors than they are in the first image. Which version do you prefer? She created a smaller snowy background on the tag using our Petite Snow Stencil over her blue background. The tag was also cut out using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.
This set of projects is so adorable!
Thanks so much, Tammy for being our guest today! She will be back for our Deck the Halls with Inky Paws blog hop on Friday, December 4th. Until then, you can visit her at her blog, Paper Pretty Boutique to read more about her adorable projects and say hello!
