Sweet Deer and Wreath Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Such a "Deer" Noel Card!

Today we have a lovely deer themed Holiday card by Tatiana. She used the sweet image of the deer wearing a holiday wreath from our new Festive Fawns Stamp Set. She colored the image of the deer and the little bird, also from the Festive Fawns Stamp Set and cut them out using the coordinating Festive Fawns Die Set. For her card she continued on the wreath theme and created a wreath using branches that she die cut using our Pines & Holly Die Set in two shades of green. She arranged them in a circle on her card and added the deer and bird in the corner. She added the "noel" sentiment  on the opposite side of the wreath as the fawn, using a die cut from the Main Street Christmas Die Set. The background of the card also featured some snowflakes in white from the Festive Fawns Stamp Set. Such a sweet pairing! A baker's twine bow and some sparkly berries on the wreath give the perfect finishing touch!

Trick or Treat Card by Nakaba Rager

Trick or Treat!!

Halloween is tomorrow! Are you ready? Today we are sharing a fun trick or treat card by Naki! For her card she created two adorable kids dressed for trick or treating using the princess from our Once Upon a Time Stamp Set and the knight from our Knights Quest Stamp Set. She was inspired by the costume choices of her kids this year who will be going as a prince and princess! She colored the images with gorgeous no-line coloring and then cut them out using the coordinating Once Upon a Time Die Set and Knights Quest Die Set. She also tucked a purple pumpkin candy holder behind the princess using the image from our Dress Up Doxies Stamp Set! What a fun idea!

To set the scene for these cuties she used the spooky house and graveyard from our Spooky Street Stamp Set. She dressed the scene up with a glittery gold moon in the sky that she added in using our Bokeh Stencil Set as a template for the circle. She also added in some die cut bats and the "trick or treat" die cut sentiment from our Halloween Trio Die Set. What a fun sweet scene with a little touch of spookiness! So perfect for Halloween!

Trim the Tree!

Have you started thinking about Holiday decorating yet? Today we are featuring a card by Holly that might help inspire you! For her card today she is featuring the cute image of the girl decorating a tree from our new Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set. She colored this image in such fun and vibrant colors. That red dress with the green ribbon is so lovely! She also added the star onto the top of the tree, cutting the images out using our Christmas Trimmings Die Set. She also added a banner for the sentiment and a rounded edge rectangle shape using our Frames & Flags Die Set. So perfectly festive!

Thankful for the Little Things Card by October Guest Designer Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends, this is my last post for the amazing Newtons Nook Designs.

I would like to say thank you again for this opportunity to be guest designer this month, I had so much fun!

My card featuring  Autumn Mice Stamp Set , Autumn Mice Die Set and Fence Die Set.

I love this set so much!!

To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. The background was created by blending Victorian velvet distress oxide ink and spraying some water onto it.

I added white fence from Fence Die Set and white card stock.

Next I colored the images using copic markers. 

I glued them to my panel with foam tape for dimension. 

Next I stamped a greeting from this set using white embossing powder and heat embossed it.

To finish off, I added some clear sequins for decoration.

Holiday Wishes for a Deer Friend Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Deer Friends Card!

Today Ellen has combined several fun products to create an adorable winter scene! This scene features the image of the deer peeking around the snowman from our new Festive Fawns Stamp Set. She colored this sweet image and cut it out using the coordinating Festive Fawns Die Set. To make a fun scene she paired it with the little row of houses from our Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set in the background. She added to the winter theme with layers of snowy hills cut out using our Land Borders Die Set and Sea Borders Die Set. The sparkly sky was created using sparkly embossing paste with our Starfield Stencil. Then she framed the whole thing using  he postage edge from our Framework Die Set.

Ellen is a genius at creating scenes! Do you like to create scenes but don't know where to start? See her tips below on how she created this one!

Tips on creating this scene!

Below we have some tips from Ellen on how she created a fun winter scene!

1. Color your images as you like. I used images from the Festive Fawns Stamp Set and Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set. Here I used Zig Markers, these are watercolor markers. They help you to have more control over your watercoloring. The images were cut out using their coordinating die sets.
2. Then you can make your background. First I watercolored my background with Holbein Watercolors. Secondly I also added Glitz Glitter Gell in white by using the Starfield Stencil.
3. When everything is dry you can put your card together. I used the biggest frame from the Framework Die Set and added snow hills by cutting borders with the Land Borders Die Set and Sea Borders Die Set.

There are so many fun ways to combine our products for creative scenes! We love hearing the process on how Ellen created this!

Peace on Earth Card by Samantha Mann

Peace on Earth!

This peaceful scene by Samantha is perfect for sharing some sun on a cold winter day!

She started out by creating a background with a sparkly snowy sky using our Petite Snow Stencil over the blue sky with a yellow glow.  She used white embossing paste and glitter embossing powder for the snow! Once it was dry, she heat embossed the glitter powder to create a sparkly effect.

For the scene she used the cute little fox from our Fox Hollow Stamp Set and colored him in shades of orange, adding a blue scarf and some white gel pen details. She added in trees, also from the Fox Hollow Stamp Set, and snowy hills using our Land Borders Die Set. On the fox  and the hills and trees she added yellow glows so show the warm sun rising over the hill. Isn't it so darling how the fox is soaking up a the warm sun? The images were fussy cut to add onto the card but if you don't like fussy cutting, this set does have a coordinating die set so you could use that instead.

2019 Cat Lovers Hop!

2019 Cat Lovers Hop

This week is the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop! This hop is so fun and since the theme is CATS we knew we HAD to play along! To participate in this blog hop, you just have to create a project that features a cat theme  and upload it to the post on Her Peaceful Garden! We Hop you can play along since there are some really awesome sponsors and prizes, including one from us at Newton's Nook Designs! 

Here's what I created:

If you're like me, I never have enough birthday cards on hand so when I do have time to create that's what I usually like to make! For this card I grabbed the cute image of the kitty with the trio of balloons from our Newton's Birthday Balloons Stamp Set. I kept the coloring really simple and didn't do any shading, just added flat colors using copic markers to make a quick and easy card. 

For the background I used our Bokeh Stencil Set to create a cool two color pattern. If you haven't used these fun  stencil sets yet, they are so fun to use! The unique Stencil Sets include two pieces and each piece has an etching of the other layer so you can easily line up the layers and create two color patterns. For this card I used pink and yellow.

Let's Be Merry Together Card by Maria Russell

Let's be Merry Together Card!

Today Maria created an utterly adorable card that is perfect for sending merry wishes! She used the sweet image of the deer and snowman from our new Festive Fawns Stamp Set. Isn't it cute how the deer is peeking around the snowman to see the bunny!? She colored the image in soft neutral tones with a pop of teal and used the coordinating Festive Fawns Die Set to cut it out to add to her card. For her card she created a scene by cutting hills of snow using our  Land Borders Die Set and layering in birch trees using our Forest Scene Builder Die Set. She added some red bows to the trees using our Pines & Holly Die Set. In the lower corner she also added gifts using our Christmas Trimmings Stamp Set and candies from our Newton's Candy Cane Stamp Set.

Pumpkin Latte Tag Card by October Guest Designer Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends, I am so happy to guest designing again today for the amazing Newtons Nook Designs.

My card featuring Pumpkin Latte stamp set , Pumpkin Latte Die Set and Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.

I adore this stamp set!

To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock and cut it with this tag die.
One of my favorite things on earth is making tags.

The background was created by blending dried marigold distress oxide ink and ripe persimmon distress oxide ink.

I also splashed white acrylic paint on it.

Next I colored the pretty images using copic markers and glues them to my panel with foam tape for dimension.

Next I stamped a greeting from this set using black ink on a small tag die.

To finish off, I added decorative tabs from Fancy Edges Tag Die Set and added an orange bakers twine.

Of course I had to play along -- here's the card I created:

I love making Fall cards so I was excited to see this challenge theme was FALL! I grabbed the deer pulling the wagon of pumpkins from our Harvest Tails Stamp Set and colored the image using Zig Watercolor markers. I thought it was fun to make the wagon teal but otherwise stuck to fall colors. I cut the image out using our coordinating Harvest Tails Die Set. 

For the background I used our Falling Leaves Stencil and created an ombré leaf background using yellow to orange inks. I cut it out to fit just inside the stitched edge of the large scalloped panel from our Frames & Flags Die Set. If anyone is curious the size of the rectangle that fits inside it like this is about 4 3/4" by 3 1/2." I also added a green hill using our Land Borders Die Set and stamped the "Happy Fall" sentiment, also from the Harvest Tails Stamp Set in the corner.
