Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing my last guest design project with Newton's Nook. I've had so much fun, thank you so much for having me!!
To create my card, first I cut out a the card panel frame using the Frames & Flags Die Set. Next I cut some Bristol Smooth Cardstock to fit inside the frame. I blended a sunset background and splattered it with black and gold gouache. Next I die cut some grass and layered it on the card panel. I stamped images from Autumn Mice, and Garden Mice stamp sets using Antique Linen Distress Ink. I used hot pressed watercolor paper. I wanted a soft look so I chose to color the images using the no line coloring technique. I colored them with Caran D'ache Supracolor Watercolor Pencils. I fussy cut the images out and began building my scene.
I wanted two of the mice to appear to be kissing each other in the sunset. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Fall Fringe Stamp Set with black ink. I adhered the card panel to the card base using foam squares to complete the card. I had so much fun coloring all of these adorable images!
If you've enjoyed my work this month you can continue to find me over on my blog, The Gypsy Chic or on Instagram!
