Hi there, Miss Jane here again. I can't believe this is my third card already for March, it's going too quickly for me! I'm having too much fun playing with these gorgeous stamps, and I want to share so much more!!
Anyway, today's card is a simply one, well it is for me, I find making simple cards the hardest! I really wanted this card to be all about the Blooming Botanicals image. I did the silly thing of looking at what the Design Team members have created using this set, I was quite daunted, they're all so gorgeous, what else could I possibly create and make look different?! So the idea of making a card in soft pastels tones sprung to mind!
I stamped the Newton's Nook Designs Blooming Botanicals floral image on smooth white card with VersaMark ink, seriously, I could've stopped right there!! The watermark design left on the white card was just stunning, do I keep it just like that? No, I couldn't do that, I had that pastel colour idea in my head, so I proceeded and applied soft pink, yellow and purple chalks over the stamped VersaMark image (if you haven't got chalks then you could use Pan Pastels instead). I didn't apply the chalks right to the edges of the card, I wanted a gradual shaded effect so the centre part of the design would be the main focus.
All the card needed then, was a sentiment stamped in black ink, a few sequins and a couple of strips of thin silver sparkly washi tape, Viola!
Just think of all the colour combinations!! Greens, blues, purples, oh be still my heart! This is going to be a very repeated card design!
Thanks for checking my card out, now go and create!
What a fun way to use the big stamp! Awesome idea and design!
