A Set of Stamped Background Cards by September Guest Designer Sindhu Prajay
Hello everyone! Sindhu here. Today happens to be my last GD post for Newton's Nook Designs. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and wish to thank Jen and Samantha again for inviting me over. :) My post for today is all about stamped backgrounds. I enjoy creating my own patterns by stamping backdrops for my focal images. Here is my first card...
I used Newton's Summer Treats and Summer Scoops stamp sets. I stamped images from the Summer Scoops set on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock in light grey ink and coloured the images with a grey copic marker. I used W0 since I didn't want the background to dominate my focal image. I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out a rectangular panel. Then, I coloured the image, fussy cut it and adhered it on the panel and then stuck it on the card base.
For the next card, I stamped small images from the Newton's Birthday Bash Stamp Set in the background with coloured inks. Then filled a few of those images with colour.
Since the background has so much colour, I decided to tone it down a bit by layering vellum behind my focal image which is from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set. I added sentiment on a pice of white cardstock layered on red cardstock. I assembled the card on the card base.
For the last card, instead of stamping images in the background, I stamped text. Text backgrounds are so much fun. I used only a single stamp called 'Classy Teachers'. I didn't use any ruler or stamping tool for help but if you want a perfect background, one of them is recommended.
Here is a close up..

I also wanted to share a picture of all the cards I made for posts this month. :)
I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the adorable stamp. I hope you like the cards too. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my posts throughout this month!
Hugs.. Sindhu.
