Frog Umbrella Card by August Guest Designer Kara Pogreba
When I saw the Umbrella Pals Stamp Set, it took me back a few years when my girls were little. We had a frog umbrella just like the one in the stamp set! It even made it into the scrapbook back in the day. I remember how cheerfully that umbrella always stuck out, which gave me the idea for this little pop-up box:
The background was inked twice using the Cloudy Sky stencil and DI Stormy Sky - once with a light hand and once with a heavier hand. The sentiment was heat embossed onto a die cut from the Framework die set and inked over with a bit of DI Mowed Lawn.
When closed, the card looks like this:
The raindrops from the Umbrella Pals Stamp Set were second and third generation stamped in DI Stormy Sky and Broken China and the panels were inked with a bit more Stormy Sky.
Here was my little inspiration:
Supplies:
Stamps: Umbrella Pals Stamp Set
Dies: Umbrella Pals Die Set, Framework Die Set, LF Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up
Stencils: Cloudy Sky Stencil
Ink: Distress Ink Stormy Sky, Broken China, Mowed Lawn, VersaMark
Copics: YG05,06,09
Other: SSS detail white embossing powder
I had so much fun spending these August Mondays with you! Thank you once again, Newton's Nook for giving me this wonderful opportunity!
