Hey There Pumpkin Card by Amanda Bodine

Hey There Pumpkin Halloween Card by Amanda Bodine | Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set and Cloudy Sky Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Hey There, Pumpkin!

Get ready for Halloween fun with this beautiful card by Amanda! She created this gorgeous scene for those cute Halloween kitties from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set! She stamped the kitty with the pumpkins and the kitty on the broom from this set and colored them with gorgeous shading, leaving the lighter areas where the moonlight would shine on them them in her scene. She cut them out using the brand new coordinating Newton's Boo-tiful Night Die Set to add to her scene. To create that lovely moonlight scene she started out with some clouds on the background using our Cloudy Sky Stencil. Then she aded distress inks over the top, leaving a lighter area were the moon shines through. She also added a hill along the bottom using our Land Border Die Set. She colored it intense shades of orange, just perfect for a Halloween scene!

Holiday Camper Card by Tatiana Trafimovich | Snow Globe Scenes and Cozy Campers Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade #christmascard

May your Holidays Sparkle!

Today we are sharing this fun Holiday camping scene by Tatiana! We designed that cute little camper from our Cozy Campers Stamp Set with summer in mind but we love the idea to use it for a winter camping scene too! Tatiana used that cute camper and colored it fun bright colors with copic markers. Then she cut it out using our Cozy Campers Die Set and added some snow along the top to make it feel right for a winter card! She added it to the scene along with the little deer and trees from our Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set. She also cut out the trees and deer using the coordinating  Snow Globe Scenes Die Set and added bits of snow to their tops!

For the snowy scene in the background, she used white embossing paste with our Bubbly Stencil over blue cardstock to make a fun snowy background. Then she cut the snow globe shape out of white using our Snow Globe Shaker Die Set to set it into just one fun area of the card.

Trick or Treat Tag by Nakaba Rager | Halloween Trio Die Set and Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade #halloween

Trick or Treat!

Do you love Halloween? If you do, you are in for a  treat! Today we have the cutest trick or treat tag by Naki! She created this fun little interactive tag featuring several fun Halloween products! On the front of the tag she added the "trick or treat" die cut using gold paper and our Halloween Trio Die Set. She also added the kitty with the witch hat using an image from our Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set. This image has the kitty riding a broom but for her use today, Naki fussy cut out the image and removed the broom so she could instead have the kitty peeking over the edge of the tag! So fun and creative!

She even flipped the image over and added hand drawing for the back of the kitty too:

Back on the front side of the tag, there is hinge that opens to reveal 3 fun bats that were cut out using the Halloween Trio Die Set. Then she stamped a "boo" over each one using our Boo Hoo Stamp Set. What a fun little hidden message! Then she clipped the tag onto a fun kraft give bag covered in bats! The bats were stenciled onto the bag using our Flying Bats Stencil. So fun and spooky!

Frog Umbrella Card by August Guest Designer Kara Pogreba

When I saw the Umbrella Pals Stamp Set, it took me back a few years when my girls were little.  We had a frog umbrella just like the one in the stamp set!  It even made it into the scrapbook back in the day.  I remember how cheerfully that umbrella always stuck out, which gave me the idea for this little pop-up box:
Frog Umbrella Card by August Guest Designer Kara Pogreba | Umbrella Pals Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
The background was inked twice using the Cloudy Sky stencil and DI Stormy Sky - once with a light hand and once with a heavier hand.  The sentiment was heat embossed onto a die cut from the Framework die set and inked over with a bit of DI Mowed Lawn.

When closed, the card looks like this:

The raindrops from the Umbrella Pals Stamp Set were second and third generation stamped in DI Stormy Sky and Broken China and the panels were inked with a bit more Stormy Sky.

Here was my little inspiration:

Interactive Halloween Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Today we have another fun interactive project to share by Ellen! Each month she is sharing an interactive project to inspire you!

Today is she's sharing a Halloween Slider card where the ghost moves across the scene card when you pull out the slider tab!
Interactive Halloween Card by Ellen Haxelmans | Boo Hoo, Fox Hollow and Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Sets and Land Borders Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
Here are step-by-step instructions from Ellen on how to make a card like this:

Interactive Halloween Card by Ellen Haxelmans | Boo Hoo, Fox Hollow and Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Sets and Land Borders Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
  1.  Color all images of your choice. For this card I used Copic Markers and colored images from several sets. The ghost is from the Boo Hoo Stamp Set, the trees are from the Fox Hollow Stamp Set, the leaves and acorn are from the Autumn Newton Stamp Set and the row of houses is from the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set. All of them were cut out using the coordinating die sets. To make the ghost a little bit more cute I did glue a few “eye” enamel dots on his face.
  2. (Photo on Right) cut out all the scene objects. You need a sky, a hill and a grass shape using the Land Borders Die Set. These shapes where colored then with distress ink. I also added the Happy Halloween sentiment on the top using the Halloween Trio Stamp Set. On the hill you cut out a small rectangular shape. Next to that you need a little bigger rectangular shape as slider tag. I used one of the toppers from the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set, so I could put twine through the slider tag.

Interactive Halloween Card by Ellen Haxelmans | Boo Hoo, Fox Hollow and Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Sets and Land Borders Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
  3. (Photo on Left) Cover the backside with pop dots and self adhesive foam. Make sure the slider tag fits in the spot with the opening. Close only one side on the left or right, so you have a stop point when you push in the tag.
  4. (Photo on Right) Put the scene together. Afterward you need to place the tag in the correct furthest in position. Put foam adhesive on the opening on top of the tag and place your ghost on top of the foam. I mounted the whole scene on a scallop edge black panel that was cut out using the Framework Die Set. Then I mounted it all to the card base with some spooky word patterned paper!
Here is how the finished card looks before you pull the slider:
The ghost is hiding behind the trees!

When the slider is pulled the ghost moves to be revealed between the trees:

Teacher Appreciation Card and Gift Bag by Juliana Michaels | Classy Teachers Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

    For a Special Teacher

Celebrate teachers with this lovely project duo by Juliana! She created this cute little set just in time for back to school using our new Classy Teachers Stamp Set. She created the card on the left using the image of the lady holding a chalkboard from the Classy Teachers Stamp Set and added the "for a special teacher" sentiment inside. This set has several different sentiments that fit inside the chalkboard! For the treat bag on the right she used the image of the lady holding a giant oversized apple. She cut the image and the little apples out using the coordinating Classy Teachers Die Set to add to her projects. For the backgrounds she stamped all the little images from the sets onto brown kraft paper to make a subtle background pattern. For the card she cut out the scalloped background panel using the Frames & Flags Die Set. Then she added the black and red die cut frames with the scallop on the inside using the Framework Die Set. The red bow and clothespin give the gift tote the perfect finishing touch! What a great way to make a teacher feel special!
