Welcome back! This is my last Monday to guest design for Newton’s Nook Design. I have had a wonderful time and I am so grateful for this opportunity! For this week’s card,
I used the Peony Blooms stamp set. (Peonies are my favorite flower! They are so delicate, striking, and fragrant. I) I stamped the peony images using Versafine Ink on Bristol smooth cardstock and colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. To soften the color, I used a water brush to blend the ink out from the darker sections. I then layered the peony images and greenery onto an inlaid background panel. I thought that the black and white background was so striking in contrast to the colorful blooms.
To highlight the beautiful sentiment from the set, I heat embossed it onto a die cut black cardstock panel using white embossing powder. As a finishing touch, I added clear droplets to give the card a “dewy” look.
I want to thank you all and Newton’s Nook Designs for being so supportive and encouraging! I look forward to seeing who guest designs for Newton’s Nook next month. Thank you for stopping in and please check out all of the other amazing designs in the shop!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
