It's Your Day Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

It's Your Day Card by Tatiana Trafimovich | Birthday Essentials and Blooming Botanicals Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

It's Your Day!

Today we are sharing a gorgeous floral card by Tatiana! She used the big floral image from our Blooming Botanicals Stamp Set for the fun image in the squares! She stamped it and colored it using copics in fun shades of purple and blue with a pop of yellow! Then she cut the image, cropping off the edges and cutting it into four equal squares She added these with some foam adhesive to pop them off over a white cardstock base! She added on the "It's your Day" sentiment from our Birthday Essentials Stamp Set! What a fun way to use this big image to create a cheerful and simple card!

Floral Wish Card by Naki Rager

Floral Wish Card by Naki Rager | Lovely Blooms and Peony Blooms Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Floral Wish!

Today we have a gorgeous floral card by Naki featuring our new Peony Blooms Stamp Set. She stamped two of the blooms from the set and colored them with lovely yellow watercolors using the no line coloring technique. Aren't they so beautiful!? She fussy cut them out and added them into  the top of the mason jar, which was stamped using our Lovely Blooms Stamp Set. She tied some twine around the top of the jar and embellished the jar by hand writing the letter NND for Newton's Nook Designs! How Fun!

Newton’s Donut Card by May Guest Designer Rina Galit

Hi Everyone!

I cannot believe this is my last post for the month!  Thank you for the support and taking a look at my cards!  I used the Newton’s Donut Stamp Set again, because it is just TOO CUTE!
Newton’s Donut Card by May Guest Designer Rina Galit | Newton's Donut Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Here I used 2 of the Newton’s images and cut and colored them in copic markers using these colors:

Pink: R81, R83, R85
Aqua: BG10, BG23, BG32
Brown: E31, E34
Warm Grey: W00, W1, W3

I cut out a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inch card front and inked the top half in Distress Oxide ink in Cracked Pistachio and the bottom half in Picked Raspberry.  I then added black paint splatters (this is my favorite thing to do) to finish off the background.  I then foam taped the Newton’s images to the front and stamped the sentiment “Donut know what I’d do without mew!” at the bottom.  The card front can now be adhered to a standard size card base.

Simple card, but it is one of my favorites, I love how the Distress Oxide inks blended onto the paper.

Thank you all again for taking a look!
Hope you try this simple card and thanks for stopping by!

Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Today I'm playing along with the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog hop!

There are going to be TONS of fun prizes too -
including a $25 store credit from us at Newton's Nook Designs!
You can head over to the Coffee Lovers Blog for more details on how to play along!

Here's what I created:
Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Coffee Card by Jennifer Jackson | Sending Hugs and Newton Lvoes Coffee Stamp Sets and Framework Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
I pulled out our Sending Hugs Stamp Set and stamped the kitty and coffee mug onto watercolor paper. I used Zig Watercolor Markers to color the kitty and the mug and then cut them out with the coordinating Sending Hugs Die Set! This die set is super fun because it also cuts around the arms of the animals which makes it easy for them to hold the fun accessories in the set. This set includes a few different items for them to hold but I stuck with the coffee for today's post!
Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Coffee Card by Jennifer Jackson | Sending Hugs and Newton Lvoes Coffee Stamp Sets and Framework Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade
Behind the Kitty is a scallop edge rectangle that I cut out using our new Framework Die Set. I splashed some pink and brown watercolor on it to match the kitty and coffee. For the sentiment, I used "I need some coffee right MEOW" from our Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. I stamped it onto a black ticked shape, also cut out from using the ticket from the Framework Die Set. For the background panel I stamped coffee beans from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set over a panel of kraft colored cardstock. I mounted the whole design onto a pink cardstock base.

While I was coloring I couldn't resist also coloring the bear and owl from the Sending Hugs Stamp Set so I created a second card using the same layout and elements but featured those two cuties instead. Again, the sentiment  and coffee bean background images are from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. I used the Framework Die Set again to cut out the scallop edged rectangle and ticket shape. This time I mounted it all on a green cardstock base.

Here for You Card by Samantha Mann

Here for You Card by Samantha Mann | Beautiful Wings Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Here for You Butterfly Card

Today we are sharing this lovely butterfly card by Samantha! She created those lovely butterflies using images from our Beautiful Wings Stamp Set and stamping them onto vellum with distress oxide inks. Then she embossed over them using clear embossing powder. Don't they look so delicate and pretty? For her card base she cut out a heart using our Darling Hearts Die Set and used it as a stencil to ink inside. Then she added lots of fun splatters using distress inks and water. She finished it off with the "I'm here for you" sentiment from the Newton's Support Stamp Set, embossed in white on a little black banner and some black and white washi tape.

This card would be perfect for sending to someone who needs a little support to let them know you care!

Thank you Samantha for the inspirational card today! To say hello to Samantha and see more of her awesome creations, you can visit Samantha's Blog, Sam's Scrap Candy!

Congrats on Your New Home Interactive Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Today we have another fun interactive project to share by Ellen! Each month she is sharing an interactive project the week following our new release!

Today is she's sharing an awesome slider card where you pull up the tag to reveal a hidden message!

Congrats on Your New Home Interactive Card by Ellen Haxelmans | Newton Loves Boxes and Snowglobe Scenes Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Ellen created a cute little scene featuring the kitties sharing a box from the new Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set. She colored the kitties orange and black with copic markers and then die cut them out using the coordinating Newton Loves Boxes Die Set. She built a scene for them using the Land Borders Die Set to create grass and hill layers that she colored using brown and green distress inks. then she added a row of houses in the background using the little houses from the Snow Globe Scenes Stamp Set. She even added a few clouds to the yellow sky using embossing paste with our Cloudy Sky Stencil! What a gorgeous scene!

Congrats on Your New Home Interactive Card by Ellen Haxelmans | Newton Loves Boxes and Snowglobe Scenes Stamp Sets by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Then, you can see that they whole scene is attached to a tag that she cut out using our Fancy Edges Tag Die Set. When you pull the tag from the top of the card, the scene rises up to reveal a hidden message! The message was created using the "congrats on your new home" from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set along with the word "yay" from the Birthday Essentials Stamp Set!

What a fun interactive card! The way the scene rises up makes it so fun!

If you love this project by Ellen you can visit her over at her blog Crafty Ellen to see more of her beautiful creations!

We've Moved Card by Maria Russell

We've Moved Card by Maria Russell | Cats and Boxes | Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set and Framework Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

We've Moved!

Today we have an adorable card design by Maria that is perfect for sharing the news that you have moved with your friends! She used the two cute kitties in a box from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set for the main focal image, coloring them with bright orange stripes! She layered them over a cloudy sky that was created by inking clouds using a piece of paper cut out using our Sky Borders Die Set as a mask. She added on the "we've moved" sentiment, also from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set, embossed on white over a black banner. For some fun details she added branches and a flower using images from the Deer Friend Stamp Set and added them along the lower left corner. In upper right corner she added the snail mail postage image from the In Slow Motion Stamp Set. She also gave the whole card a fun postage edge by dry embossing the border using our new Framework Die Set! So fun!

You could also change up this card and use the "congrats on your new home" from the Newton Loves Boxes Stamp Set to make a fun card to send to new home owners!

Newton’s Donut Shaker Card by May Guest Designer Rina Galit

Hi Everyone!

I just adore the Newton’s Donut Stamp Set.  I decided to make a shaker card and wanted to make the donut sprinkles perfectly match the shaker bits.

Newton’s Donut Shaker Card by May Guest Designer Rina Galit | Newton's Donut Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

I first colored and cut the Newton Donut image in copic markers in these colors:

Grey – W00, W1, W3
Pink – R00, R20
Brown – E31, E34
Sprinkles – B04, RV04, R24, Y00, Y23

I cut out a card front at 4 ¼, 5 ½ and used a scallop circle die to cut out the window to the shaker.  You can also use a circle, but I thought the scallop added a fun detail.  I inked half the card front with Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry.  I used the sentiment “Life is better with sprinkles” and stamped that to the bottom right of the card.  Adhere a piece of acetate behind the card front and line the circle opening with one layer of foam tape, also add foam tape to cover the back.  I used sequins and shaker bits to match my sprinkles which adds a fun element to the card.  Adhere a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ paper to the back of the shaker mechanism to the foam tape.  Adhere the shaker mechanism to a standard sized card base and then add the Newton Donut image to the left of the stamp sentiment.

I always like added sparkle so I added a few black paint splatters along with mini gold stars to the card front.

Hope you enjoy this fun shaker!
Thanks for stopping by!
