Thank You Sweater Cards!
Hello! Jen here today with a few thank you cards using the cute critters in sweaters from our
Sweater Weather Stamp Set! It's always good to have a few Thank You cards on hand, especially after the Holidays so I took some time the other day to whip these up. I already had a few characters colored from a previous project so these were super quick and easy to make! One of the things I love to do is to stamp a bunch of images and then I can sit and color them when I have extra time. That way when you need to make a card, it's much easier since you've already got a stash of colored images!
For the first card I used the image of Winston, our bear, from the
Sweater Weather Stamp Set! He was colored using Zig Watercolor Markers and trimmed out with the
Sweater Weather Die Set. I cut out a tag using our
Fancy Edges Tag Die Set and sponged blue ink on the edges. I also cut out the stitched banner from our
Frames & Flags Die Set to hold the sentiment. Since I wanted to make a Thank You card and the Sweater set doesn't have a thank you sentiment I browsed through my other stamps and decided on the "thank you" sentiment from the
Pineapple Delight Stamp Set to stamp on the banner. I added some pattern paper from my scraps and layered everything together over a light blue card base.
For my second card I used the image that adorable fox wearing a sweater, also from our
Sweater Weather Stamp Set! He was colored using Copic Markers and trimmed out with the
Sweater Weather Die Set. Again I used a tag cut out with our
Fancy Edges Tag Die Set and a stitched banner cut out from our
Frames & Flags Die Set to hold the sentiment. I used the same "thank you" sentiment from the
Pineapple Delight Stamp Set.
This time I layered the tag over two pieces of colored cardstock. One green and one dark blue. On the dark blue cardstock I also stamped some mittens using a dark blue ink to make a fun tonal background pattern! The little wavy stitched edge was created from a scrap of blue paper using the
Sea Borders Die Set.
For my last card I had to use that cute kitty in a sweater and hat! This is one of my favorite images from the
Sweater Weather Stamp Set! This image was colored using Zig watercolor markers and trimmed out with the
Sweater Weather Die Set. Again I used a tag cut out with our
Fancy Edges Tag Die Set but this time I used light blue cardstock. I stamped the same "thank you" sentiment from the
Pineapple Delight Stamp Set into the sky and added a little snowy hill using the
Land Borders Die Set. For the card I used a white base and added some purple heart paper and strip of brighter purple through the center to go with the sweater colors! Then I added a stitched panel behind the tag using the
Frames & Flags Die Set.
I hope you enjoyed these cards today! I like mixing different elements together in a similar way. It makes it much easier to create a bunch of cards quickly!
those are so wonderful!
