Toucan Party Card by our January Guest Designer Jessie Banks

Today we have our first post from our January Guest Designer, Jessie Banks! We are thrilled to have Jessie designing with our products this month! We love her amazing coloring and Clean and Simple Card style and can't wait to share what she creates with our stamps! Hey all! My name is Jessie Banks, and I am over the moon to be guesting for Newton's Nook for January! I did a happy dance in my living room when I read the email! I have always been artsy, my parents put bristol board around the bottom of the sun porch when I was little so I wouldn't colour on the walls! I am now a 30 something, mother of one, who never grew out of colouring! I live in small town Saskatchewan, Canada and have been cardmaking now for 5ish years. I am a lover of all mediums, markers, watercolours, coloured pencils, chalk, pastels, you name it I will put it on a card! Sometimes all of them on the same card! Hey everyone! I am absolutely honoured to be guest designing for Newton's Nook for the month of January! I can't wait to share all my projects with you all! But for today I have a party card, considering its New Years day and lots of people celebrate it, I figured it was super fitting!

So I pulled out the Toucan Party set for this little gem!

I created the background with Distress Inks, Broken China, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch. Then added my little Toucans on top. The sentiment was embossed with white embossing powder on black paper, just a few enamel dots from deep in my stash finished off the front of this card.
