Advent Calendar Extravaganza with Taheerah Atchia

Advent Calendar Extravaganza is -the- festive event of the season! This ‘hop with a twist’ was dreamed up by Taheerah Atchia and features surprise destinations each day! Here's what I created today:
For this card I stamped Newton dressed as Santa from our Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set.
How cute is that silly kitty in the chimney!? 

I used inktense watercolor pencils and a water brush to color the image and then trimmed it out using the coordinating Santa Paws Newton Die Set. I also colored the little "north pole" image and cut that out. For the card background I used a piece of Kraft colored cardstock and added white snowflakes with embossing paste over our Snowfall Stencil. I love the look of kraft and white together. Then I created a little scene on the bottom by adding a white stitched hill for snow using the Land Borders Die Set. I layered some washi tape and a little strip of red checkered paper along the bottom. For the sentiment, I stamped the Here comes Santa Paws" sentiment from the Santa Paws Newton Stamp Set onto a strip of black cardstock, embossing it in white. Then I layered the kitty image over the top of everything, raising him up a bit with some foam tape! Hope you enjoyed this card today!
