25 Days of Christmas Tags

Today we are excited to be part of the 7th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey McNeely. Today is only Day 2 of this awesome feature so make sure you visit her blog each day to see all 25 days! Today she's featuring the Newton's Nook Design Team on her blog so make sure you head over there to see some more beautiful tags using NND products!

I created this fun bundle of tags today to play along:

For my project, I decided to make a bunch of tags using our Joyful Tags Stamp Set. The images in this stamp set were designed to have that handwritten chalkboard feeling and look awesome embossed in white on black cardstock but today I tried a different approach. I cut some small pieces of white cardstock and created green and red ombré backgrounds using distress oxide inks. The red uses barn door and candied apple and the green was created with Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron.

Then I stamped the images over the backgrounds with versamark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. Once they were all stamped and embossed I trimmed them out using the coordinating Tags Times Two Die Set.

For the snowflake tags I used the Snowfall Stencil and white cardstock. I inked over the stencil using a sponge dauber and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. These were also trimmed them out using the Tags Times Two Die Set. I finished all the tags off with some tinsel trim.
