Hello, everyone! I'm so excited to announce that I am a guest designer for Newton's Nook Designs
My name is Simone Naoum, and I live in Perth, Western Australia with my hubby, our identical twin girls and our fluffy little kitty cat. I originally grew up in a small country town a few hours south of Perth, and will always be a country girl at heart.
My girls are now in kindergarten so in between housework and before school pick-up I like to sneak into my craft room and get stamping.
I have always had a love for cute stationary and paper products from a young age, (which soon turned into a patterned paper obsession) which lead me into card making and stamping! 10 years on and I still love pretty papers but I am now obsessed with rubber stamping and creating cards. My style is definitely clean and simple, as I love lots of clean white space, along with paper piecing and adding in a few fun embellishments.
Hello Everyone
I'm so excited to finally be able to share
with you all today, that I am the guest designer for the month of June at Newton's Nook Designs!
This was a bit of hard secret to keep quiet
for a while, as I just love working with their sweet stamp sets! For today's
card I used the adorable Winston's Honeybees stamp set to create a
sweet paper pieced honey bear card.
I started this card by stamping the bear and
bee images onto some plain white cardstock and again onto various pattered papers.
I then used my Silhouette Cameo machine and the pixscan mat to cut out the
images that were stamped onto plain white cardstock. Next I fussy cut all the
elements from the patterned papers and paper pieced them all together onto the
white cardstock images.
Before sticking the images down onto my card
base, I arranged them where I wanted them to go and stamped on my sentiment and
the dotted heart trail for the bee. Finally I stuck down Winston and the
bees with some adhesive foam, before embellishing the card with some yellow
sequins and a black enamel dot.
I absolute love this cute little stamp set! Aren't Winston and those bees just cute?! I hope you enjoyed my first card for Newton's Nook Designs? I'll
be back again next Monday with another one for you all!
WELCOME!! SO EXCITED to have you Guest Designing with us this Month!! LOVE LOVE LOVE your SWEET Card!! Can't WAIT to see what you create!! Have a FABULOUS WEEK!! <3 <3 <3
