WANTED: A cute duo of kitty cards!!

Yay! It's Friday! Today we have an awesome duo of western themed cards by Amanda! She created these fun "Wanted"cards using our Newton Rides West stamp set! She started each card by creating an ombré watercolor background and then added the "Wanted" on the top and pairing it with different sentiments on the bottom! She colored two of the cute kitty images from this set along with two cactus images and trimmed them out using the coordinating Newton Rides West Die Set. Don't you just love the vibrant coloring she used and the fun white highlights!? Then she aded them to her cards and used a couple of different background papers. This is a such a great idea! Once you have a card layout chosen it's so easy to change it up slightly and create a bunch of cards quickly! So Awesome!

Wanted: Interactive Newton Card by Tatiana Trafimovich

Peek-a-Boo Card!

Today we are sharing another amazing interactive card by Tatiana! This fun card features Newton in his cute little cowboy hat and bandana from the new Newton Rides West stamp set. She colored colored the kitty in fun bright colors and added the fun cactus from the set behind him. She also added some colorful arrows pointing towards him using our Points & Plumes Die Set. The big bold "Wanted" is also from Newton Rides West stamp set and was embossed with white on black cardstock.

Now for the peek-a-boo part! From the front of the card it looks like that image of Newton is on the inside of the card inside that circle window but when you open it Newton disappears and instead you see a message:

Wow! Just like magic! How fun is that?

Summer Cactus Card by Naki Rager

Summer Lovin' 

Yesterday we had a lovely winter card and today we are getting back into the summer mood with this adorable cactus card by Naki! She created this super fun card using the big bold cactus and the little flower from our new Cultivated Cacti stamp set. She trimmed them out with the coordinating Cultivated Cacti Die Set. She also added on some sunglasses from the Newton's Summer Vacation Stamp set, fussy cutting them out and added some fun gold glitter to them! What a cute idea! Then she added everything inside a cute little wooden frame and added a "hey Girl" thought bubble, a gold sunshine and a gold cloud too! All of this over that fun geometric background makes for a really happy summer card!

Winter Wonderland Card by Holly Endress

Winter Wonderland!

I know it's June and we're in the mood for summer but it's NEVER too early to get a start on Holiday cards too, right? This amazing winter scene by Holly will uses the sweet duo of deer and birch tree silhouettes from our Serene Silhouettes stamp set! She stamped them in black and trimmed them out with the coordinating Serene Silhouettes Die Set. The she added them to her card with a gorgeous background created with Distress Oxide Inks. She added snowflakes using the little sprinkle of snow in this set with  Sparkly Puffing Embossing powder. The little curved hill was created using our Land Borders Die Set.

She finished off the card with the sentiment "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set, embossed in white on a black banner! This beautiful winter card could be used for a Christmas card or just a friendly winter hello!

Feline Unwell Card by June Guest Designer Simone Naoum

Hello There!

I am back today with my final card as a guest designer for the month of June at Newton's Nook Designs. I have had so much fun being a guest designer this month and playing with their super cute products, and I hope to be back again sometime in the future.

Today's card is a very CAS get well card I created using the adorable Newton's Sick Day stamp and die sets. I absolutely love this set with its sweet images of Newton and the fun pun sentiments! Be sure to keep an eye out on my blog for more cards using this set!

To create this card I began by stamping my sentiment onto my plain white card base, before stamping the image of Newton and the pill bottle onto some X-Press It blending cardstock.  I then coloured the images using some Copic Sketch markers before die cutting them out.  After they were dry I coloured the label on the pill bottle as well as Newton's medical hat and his mane with some clear Wink of Stella glitter for some sparkle, before sticking them down onto my card base using adhesive foam.  Finally I embellished the card with some white and silver sequins.

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Today I'm playing along with the SUMMER 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog hop!

Here's what I created:

I used our BRAND NEW Cuppa Cactus stamp set! This set was part of our recent June release and I've been having so much fun playing with it. It has two cute little cactus images in mugs and some really great puns for coffee lovers! 

To make the card I started by coloring the two cacti in mugs using copic markers. Then I trimmed them out with the coordinating Cuppa Cactus Die Set. I took a piece of watercolor paper and added some distress ink in yellow and green to my craft mat and squished it onto the paper to make the background. I added a little hill cut from polka dot paper using our Land Borders Die Set. Then I added the sentiment "Caution: I'm a little prickly before my coffee" using the sentiments from the Cuppa Cactus stamp set. To finish off the card I added some hot pink twine and then mounted everything on a kraft colored card base.

Custom Envelope Card by Ellen Haxelmans

Create a custom Envelope Card!

Today we have a fun idea by Ellen on how to make a custom card where the envelope and card are one piece! She was inspired by aerograms (or air letters) that were used during the use during the Second World War. These lightweight self-sealing letter cards were introduced for easy sending through airmail!

To make her card, Ellen used an envelope punch board to create the envelope shape out of yellow cardstock. Then she added some stamping to the front panel using flowers from our Lovely Blooms stamp set.

She added some magnet strips on the inside of the envelope flaps and then created some fun pieces to make a cute scene inside the card. She used the cute puppy from our new Terrific Terriers stamp set along with little clouds from the Winston Takes Flight stamp set and flowers from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp set. 

Here's what the front of the closed envelope looks like. She used blooms from the Lovely Blooms stamp set on the background and created a custom sentiment using words from both the Simply Relative  and the Lovely Blooms stamp sets.

For the back side of the closed envelope she added a fun wreath using the  Happy Little Thoughts stamp set. Then she stamped the sentiment inside it and the ribbon using the Terrific Terriers stamp set. 

Don't you just love all the fun details she added to this project! It would be so special to receive a card like this!

Book Club Card by Samantha Mann

That's a lot of reading...

The kitty on this card by Samantha has a TON of reading to do! Samantha created this super fun card by stamping the stack of books from our Newton's Book Club stamp set twice and fussy cutting before stacking it together it out to create a really tall pile of books! I love all the fun bright colors she used to color them too! Then she added the kitty on the top with the open book too! Such a perfect card to send someone who loves to read!

Wanted poster Card by Juliana Michaels

WANTED! 

Our new Newton Rides West stamp set is perfect for creating fun western themed cards! Today we are sharing this adorable birthday card by Juliana! She colored the cute kitty wearing the cowboy hat and cactus from this set and she even and added on the mustache too! How adorable is that?  The images were all trimmed out using the coordinating Newton Rides West Die Set. The bit of twine to create a rope behind the kitty is so fun and the distressing she added to the paper really gives a fun old timey western feeling too!

To make this fun little western scene into a birthday card, Juliana used the "Wanted" paired with "for celebrating another birthday" from the Newton Rides West stamp set. You could also pair the "Wanted" with the "for being awesome" sentiment in this set too if you don't need a birthday card!

Small Paws, Big Hearts!

If you love dogs you will love this sweet card by Maria! She created this adorable card using our NEW Terrific Terriers stamp set and coordinating Terrific Terriers Die Set. She colored them in shades of brown and added cute pink cheeks! Then she created that fun background using the tiny heart and paw print images from the set. She finished it off with the "small paws, big hearts" sentiment from the Terrific Terriers stamp set in a little heart shape! So cute!

Tee-rific Dad Card by June Guest Designer Simone Naoum

Hello Everyone

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend? Today I'm back with another Newton's Nook Designs card for you all, and this one uses the fun new Winston's Tee Time stamp and die sets.

When I first saw this stamp set I knew it was a must have, especially to create cards for guys who love golf, as well as Father's Day cards, which I'm getting a bit of head start on with today's card!

I started this card by first arranging and stamping my sentiment onto a plain white card base, before stamping Winston onto some X-press It blending card, and again onto some patterned paper for his shirt. I then coloured Winston using my Copic Sketch Markers, before paper piecing his patterned paper shirt onto him.  Once he was dry I then covered his collar and the golf ball with some clear Wink of Stella glitter for a bit of shimmer, before die cutting them out and sticking them down onto my card base using some adhesive foam.  Finally I embellished the card with some matching coloured sequins.

That's my card for today and I hope it inspires you to get a head start on creating some Father's Day cards?!
