Good morning, everyone, and happy Monday! I'm back with my final guest post for Newton's Nook. I'm so bummed my guest spot is up, but I had so much fun working with them this month :) My last card is full of color and uses the stamp set Lovely Blooms in a unique way. Let's get to it!
I started by stamping the jar from the set on some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I wanted them to look like they had some fun, bright drinks in them, so I used my Copics to achieve this look. In the blue jar I even drew in some fruit at the bottom for a fun fresh twist. I added some bubbles to the jars as well so they looked a little more like liquid. I also stamped one of the stems from the set to be used as a straw and colored them in. I cut them all out and ran a black marker on the edges to finish them off.
I cut down another piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and pulled out my Distress Oxide Inks. I used Worn Lipstick and Broken China to make a bright, bold background. To make some of the background purple I mixed the pink and blue together--which is is so easy with Distress Oxides! I sprayed water droplets over the ink and dabbed it with a paper towel to get the textured splatter look.
I added the jars with foam tape to the Distress Oxide piece of paper once it was dry. I die cut the word 'hello from some white cardstock and added it over the right and middle jar. I also stamped 'lovely' from the same set on black cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed white embossing powder over it. I cut it down and added it under the 'hello' die. To finish off the card I added Nuvo Crystal drops in white and clear all over the card and Glossy Accents to the straws. And that's it for my last card for Newton's Nook! I hope you enjoyed my projects for them. I know I've had so much fun making them! I hope you are all having a great Memorial Day, and have a great week!
