Happy Monday, everyone! I'm happy to be back for Newton's Nook Designs with another card to share! Today I'm using A Cozy Day In stamp set. The great thing about this stamp set is that the main image is so large it can take up most of the card! It's fun to color and it's size makes it a great focal point on the card.
I stamped the image on some Neenah Solar White card stock in Momento Tuxedo Black ink so that I could use my Copics to color it in. It was so fun to color in the sweet little cats and this girl reading her book. I felt like it was a picture of myself! It definitely made me want to curl up on the couch with my kitten and a good book!
I die cut the piece of paper with a stitched rectangle and did the same with a piece of teal-ish colored paper. Then I took an angled die and cut off the bottom of my Neenah piece so that when I layered the two pieces, you would be able to see the teal paper on the bottom.
To finish the card I added the sentiment 'have a cozy day' by stamping in VersaMark and heat embossing it with white embossing powder. I added some white gel pen details to finish the card-and that was it!
I hope you enjoyed my second card for Newton's Nook! I know I did :) Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day.

ReplyDeleteI love the cozy scene you created. I normally like symmetry on my cards, but that angle really works here. It reminds me of a rug in the living room! Cute!
