Today we are excited to be part of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags with Tracey McNeely. We are now on day 3 of this awesome feature so make sure you visit her blog each day to see all 25 days! Today she's featuring the Newton's Nook Design Team on her blog so make sure you head over there to see some more beautiful tags using NND products!
Here's what I created to play along:
For my project, I decided to use our NEW Festive Forest stamp set! These sweet little trees have lots of fun prints and are so easy to work with! I stamped out three trees from the set. For two of them I used dark green ink but for the third one I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it with some light green embossing powder. I then cut them all out using the Festive Forest Die Set. I also used this die set to trim out tree trunks from brown cardstock and to trim out a skinny tree from olive green cardstock. For the tag shapes, I used our Tags Times Two Die Set and cut three tags out of kraft cardstock. I then took all the pieces and started putting together the tags. For two of them I added the sentiments "o christmas tree" and "joy" from our Festive Forest stamp set in black ink. Then I added on the trees with dimensional adhesive. I thought that they needed a pop of red so I added on red dots using Nuvo crystal drops. Just the right pop of red!
Once I had these pretty tags done I couldn't decide what to do with them! I thought about adding them to a card or using them for some holiday gifts, but in the end I decided to make a cute little drink container! I used this fun milk jar and added a big satin red ribbon on it, along with the tag. Then a polka dot straw! These would be so fun for a Holiday dinner party!
