New York is ALWAYS a good idea!

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is having a great week! Today I'm sharing a fun card I made using our  Newton Dreams of New York stamp set! Did you know that we decided to create this set based on feedback from members of our Create and Share group? Sometimes we ask questions to the group and we recently asked "Where should Newton travel to next?" We had a bunch of group members suggest NYC and we agreed that would be a great place for him to visit so we created this set! There were many other great suggestions too so watch for Newton to travel somewhere else soon! For my card today, I colored the image of Newton dressed as the Statue of Liberty using watercolor markers. I cut the image out using the coordinating Newton Dreams of New York Die Set. I stamped the images of the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building onto kraft colored paper with light brown ink and cut them out with the die set too. Then I decided to create a monochromatic background. I liked the tonal look so I used the same ink and paper to create a night background sky, stamping the stars with the brown ink. I added the sentiment in black and put the whole thing behind the cute kitty image. I love how the tonal background really lets the kitty image pop. I added on some subtle pattern papers and a light green card base.
