Shark Week Day 4 - Danielle & Lydia

Welcome to Shark Week - Day 4!

We are featuring our new Shark Bites stamp set  and NEW Shark Bites Die Set all week on the NND blog, with two new fun projects each day! Today we have sharky inspiration from Danielle and Lydia!  

Check out this awesomeness by Danielle: 

She created a super cool shaker card, adding in sequins and die cut shark shapes! That background is perfect for water too - it looks so cool with all the bits of different colors in it! What an amazing card!

Lydia also created an awesome sharky scene:

I love how Lydia contained her shark scene into a circle. It has so much fun detail with the amazing coloring she did on the shark image! The white card base really draws your eye into that scary shark!

Shark Week Day 3 - Samantha & Yukari

Welcome to Shark Week - Day 3!

We are featuring our new Shark Bites stamp set  and NEW Shark Bites Die Set all week on the NND blog, with two new fun projects each day! Today we have sharky inspiration from Yukari and Samantha!  

Yukari created a JAW-some Birthday Card: 

She created such a fun background she created with distress inks! I love the little fish floating in the water and the embossed white waves! The sequins add the perfect finishing sparkle! 

 More awesomeness with Samantha:

 Samantha used watercolors to create a fun background for the shark and also did white embossed waves. I love the black polka dot accents and the sentiment embossed in white on the black really pops!


I love how there are a lot of similarities in how Yukari and Samantha created their cards but achieved a totally different look!

Shark Week Day 2 - Stephanie & Kimberly

Welcome to Shark Week - Day 2!

We are featuring our new Shark Bites stamp set  and NEW Shark Bites Die Set all week on the NND blog, with two new fun projects each day! Today we have sharky inspiration from Stephanie and Kimberly!  

First, we are heading to the beach with this amazing beach scene by Stephanie:

Isn't it so cool how she added the big beach umbrella? It creates such a cute scene - but make sure if you head to this beach that you stay OUT of the water!  I also the fun, summery orange and teal color combo! 

Next is this awesome Snappy Birthday by Kimberly:

I love how Kimberly used the wave die and cut out waves from the blue base. Then she also cut them out some with light blue paper to fill in the negative space. What a fun way to use that die! I definitely wouldn't want to go swimming in this water! Too Many Sharks!!

Shark Week Day 1 - Nina-Marie & Crafty Math Chick

Welcome to Shark Week - Day 1!

We are featuring our new Shark Bites stamp set  and NEW Shark Bites Die Set all week on the NND blog, with two new fun projects each day! Today we have sharky inspiration from Nina-Marie and Crafty Math-Chick!  

We are starting up our shark week with this awesome birthday card by Nina-Marie:

Isn't this card by Nina-Marie using the new Shark Bites stamp set so pretty? I love fun water using distress inks! That shark really looks like he's popping out to tell you you're "JAW-some"! 

Next we have this funny shark card by Crafty Math-Chick

Crafty Math-Chick created a really fun scene with some wave paper and added the "FREE HUGS" sentiment. I hope this makes you laugh! I think it's so funny to imagine shark hugs!

It's SHARK WEEK!

----Everyone has heard of SHARK WEEK on the Discovery Channel, right? ----

Last year we did a week long Shark Week Celebration. We had SO MUCH FUN we decided we need to do it again this year! Our Design Team will be featuring our Shark Bites Stamp Set all week long! Plus we're having a sale - scroll down to the bottom of this post for details.

This die set coordinates with Shark Bites stamp set and has 8 dies 

Our Design Team will be sharing Sharky projects all week so I thought I'd get us started today with a this "Snappy Birthday" card that  I made:

I used the fun image of the shark swimming towards you and cut him out with the new die! Then I added him to a circle with the "Snappy Birthday" sentiment. For the background I created an ombré anchor pattern with a stencil. Then I added some little strips of paper and washi and some blue twine to finish it off!

To make this week even more fun, we've put the our Shark Bites Stamp Set & the NEW Shark Bites die set on SALE!!

Here's some inspiration!

Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome Ombré cards they created! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

This gorgeous card is by Larissa. She created ombré birds using the bird image from the Darling Duos stamp set mixed with the die cut feathers from the Points & Plumes die set! I Love the dipped gold edges too!

Jess created a beautiful purple ombré coffee cup background using the little coffee cups from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set. Then she colored two cute kitties with their coffee cups too! 

Crafty Math-Chick used some awesome ombré background paper featuring watermelons and then added on that cute watermelon stamp from our Sweet Summer Stamp set! I love how that yummy melon slice pops off the card!

Lydia created this sweet pink ombre background and then added on the butterfly and sentiment from the Beautiful Wings stamp set. I love the soft pink and vellum together!

This sweet card by Samantha features the kangaroo and joey from our Hoppy Days stamp set. I love how they're hopping through that gorgeous ombre watercolor background!

Danielle created a sea of sharks from our Shark Bites stamp set  in a blue ombre pattern! All you need is a bold stamp and a couple of shades of ink to make your own ombre patterns!

I love the gorgeous ombré background on this card by Yuki! The flower from our Beautiful Blossoms set and butterfly from the Beautiful Wings set really pop the background off so nicely!

Here's what I created. I used different shades of blue cardstock to create the ombré and cute them freehand with a scissor to make them look like waves. The shell stamps and "Seas the Day" sentiment from our Tranquil Tides Stamp set were stamped in ombré inks and trimmed out with the Tranquil Tides die set.

Birthday Sprinkles Card by Yukari Yoshioka

Rainbow birthday Sprinkles!! 

Today we have this YUMMY ice cream treat card by Yukari using our Summer Scoops stamp set.  I love how she created a gorgeous rainbow background for her card and then added three fun ice cream images from the set, fussy cutting them out and layering them over a scalloped oval frame. The "Happy Birthday with Sprinkles on Top" sentiment, embossed in white on black cardstock really pops off too!

You're Sweet Card by Stephanie Muzzulin

Sweet!

Mmmm! Do you love strawberries? I do! Strawberries remind me of sweetness and summer  - and so does this adorable card by Stephanie. She used the adorable strawberry and "you're sweet!" sentiment from our Sweet Summer stamp set on her card today and did some soft watercoloring! I love how she mixed it with layers of woodgrain, gingham and plaid papers! The big red bow gives it a fun finishing touch!

Cozy Day Card by Special Guest Simon Hurley!

Watercolor Kitties by Simon!

Today we have the awesomely young and talented Simon Hurley as our special guest! Simon used our A Cozy Day In stamp set to create this awesome card. I love how he used bright watercolors on the image of the kitties and the chair, then trimmed them out to pop up over the edge of the card! What a fun and simple card! Meow You Doing Card by Samantha Mann

Meowy Monday!

Mondays can be tough but this sweet kitty card by Samantha will definitely make your Monday better! She used the adorable image of Newton on his GIANT ball of yarn from our Newton Unwinds stamp set and added into onto this fun card base with a bit of white polka dot texture behind him. I love the mostly all black and white layout with just a POP of color with the hot pink yarn! So fun! She also layered o the "meow you doing?" sentiment, also from the Newton Unwinds stamp set. We hope this card made you smile today!

Here's what I created:

Of course I HAD to use our Newton Loves Coffee stamp set since it features two of our favorite things: Newton & coffee.  I stamped the image of the newton hugging using the french press and colored it with copic markers. Then I trimmed it out using our NEW Newton Loves Coffee die set to trim out the image! This new die set was just released today in our shop! I also used the coffee cup image and colored it to match this fun teal coffee cup paper I found in my stash - the other side of the paper is that stripe so I just flipped a little piece over to add another pattern. I finished off the card with the sentiment "a birthday brew just for you" which is also part of the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set.

If you are new to us, you might not know that Newton is our real kitty! You can follow us on facebook or instagram to see lots of photos of him! By the way - Newton really DOES LOVE COFFEE! I can't leave it unguarded or he will come stick his paw into the mug and then lick it! Silly kitty!
