Caring Hearts Card Drive Sponsor

Today we are posting about the Caring Hearts Card Drive! This card drive is organized by Vera Yates & Jennifer McGuire with the goal to collect holiday cards for the elderly that lives in nursing home. During this time many of the elderly who lives in nursing homes would really feel the loneliness or missing their family. Wouldn't it be so awesome if we can bring a smile to their face & brighten their holiday season simply by sharing our love of card making? A simple gesture to let them know that they are not forgotten.

Since this blog hop is all about holiday cards I wanted to share a fun Holiday card today using our Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set. I used the image of the cute kitty, peeking around the snowman at the little bird! I just love this image - it's so fun to color. I colored it with distress markers and a water brush. Then I added on the "merry and bright" sentiments from our Holiday Wishes stamp set. This set is such an essential holiday set because you can mix and match so many fun sentiments!

To create the card, I used a kraft colored cardstock base, added a panel of embossed light green paper and some gold striped washi tape. I added on a kraft colored doiley tucked behind the image and then finished it off with some red twine and a button. I love how this turned out!
