Dreamy card - with a Kraken!!

Today I'm sharing this gorgeous card by Samantha Mann. She used our Message in a Bottle stamp set to create this fun dreamy scene! I love all the texture she created with the waves and sand! So cool! She added on that cute Kraken on the beach in a bright purple color and the fun sentiment stamped onto woodgrain paper! What a fun card!

Spooky Street Halloween Card

Spooky Skies for Halloween!

Today I'm sharing a fun Halloween card I created using our Spooky Street stamp set! I took mini distress ink pads and squished them onto a craft mat and then pulled my cardstock through it until I had the background color I wanted. After it dried I added some water droplets to get the lighter spots. I love how distress ink reacts again to water after it's dry! 

Once my background was dry I stamped several trees from the Spooky Street stamp set along with some stars and bats. I used black archival ink to do this. Then I added on a small strip of purple and black striped paper and some Halloween word washi tape.  I also stamped the "Happy Halloween" sentiment, also from the Spooky Street stamp set and added it on with a little flagged edge. I love how this turned out! So perfect for Halloween!

Winston is a Football Star!

GO WINSTON!

I had so much fun with the little image of Winston playing football from our new Touchdown Tails stamp set that I made a bunch of cards with it. It was so fun to color him in different colors! NND headquarters is in Wisconsin so for this card I chose the Wisconsin Badger colors of red and white for his jersey! I stamped him onto watercolor paper and colored him with some zig clean color watercolor markers - I'm still learning how to use these - as you can see I don't have them completely under control and went out of the lines a couple of times - but I figured that's part of the fun of watercolor - it doesn't have to be perfect!  

Then I added on some fun pops of yellow paper and washi tape because I felt like the card needed another color. I also stamped a little bold football and added it next to him for fun!

For the second card today I also used the same image of Winston from the Touchdown Tails stamp se tbut this time I colored him in Packer colors -  that's our favorite team! I also colored this images with the watercolor markers and then added in a bit of distress ink on the edges of the paper. I created a fun football background by stamping the little bold image a bunch of times on the kraft paper and then added the "take a time out and celebrate" sentiment on a little banner with some twine.

Hello Fall - Simon Says Stamp EXCLUSIVE set!

We don't usually post on Saturday but today is a SPECIAL day! Today we are featured on the Simon Says Stamp site with an EXCLUSIVE stamp set designed by us for their STAMPtember celebration! Here's an image of the set - When Heidi from Simon Says Stamp asked if we wanted to create a set for their STAMPtember celebration I immediately thought of Newton and his friends playing in leaves for Fall and came up with this design:

And, of course, I had to play with the set to show you what you can create with it! I used the image of Newton in the leaves and created this adorable Fall card. I just LOVE how it turned out:

I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and colored it with Zig clean color brush markers. Then I added some distress ink to the edges of the paper to soften them.  I added it to the card base with some patterned papers and a bit of fun washi tape and a button too. 

Our Design Team was also able to play along with this new set too!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Today I'm playing along with the very fun Coffee Lovers blog hop.

I thought I'd use our BRAND NEW Newton Loves Coffee stamp set! Playing along in this hop the last couple of years is one of the things that inspired me to create this stamp set. Plus, there are so many coffee lovers in my family that I knew it would be so fun to use this set to make them cards too! I'm sure many of you can relate!

For my card, I stamped the kitty with the French Press onto watercolor paper and colored him using a combo of Zig Clean Color brush markers and Tim Holtz Distress Markers. Then I carefully fussy cut him out - you can tell in the close up that I need a bit more practice with this but if you don't look too close it looks pretty good! 

I created a background with an inked edge using distress inks since the white paper seemed too stark. I also stamped some of the little bold coffee mugs onto the background paper to add a bit more fun detail. I also added the "a birthday brew just for you" sentiment - since I seem to ALWAYS need birthday cards!

Such a cute little duo of pumpkin cards!  Crafty Math-Chick used the die to cut out the face on the little pumpkin and used the black paper behind it to fill it in! So fun! 

I love the fun pumpkin trio on this thank you card by Yukari. The addition of the bright blue pumpkin really makes this a fun fall color combo too! 

Blue pumpkins? Why not! I love how Samantha used a non-traditonal color combo for Fall by using blue and teal for her pumpkins! Such a fun and pretty card!

I love this trio of shiny pumpkins by Larissa! The google eyes inside the cut-out faces are so fun!

Wow! More fun bright colored pumpkins! I love how Danielle used all these fun colors to create little tags and pockets! These would be so cute to tie onto little Halloween treats!

Nina-Marie created this incredible pumpkin scene! She used the pumpkin from our new set but added extra color and details to make it look like an outlined stamp instead of a bold one. She also used the Happy Harvest sentiment from the Falling into Autumn stamp set and the cute squirrel and owl from the Sweetheart Tails stamp set

I love how Kimberly wrapped super thin sparkly string around the pumpkin! So cute! I love her fun color combo with the teal and orange. The little birdie is from the Garden Whimsy stamp set.

Lydia created this awesome foiled pumpkin card! She also cut the stem out of burlap! So pretty! The "blessings" sentiment is from the Falling into Autumn stamp set.

Stephanie created this fun pumpkin card! I love how she used the plaid pumpkin stamp and paired it with fun plaid background paper! Such a cute fall Thank you!

Since Football isn't very popular in the UK, Lydia found a different way to use this set by focusing on the bold sentiment and using the stars to create this gorgeous card! Such a creative idea!

I love this fun black and white birthday card by Jess! The way she stamped the sentiments across the card at an angle is so fun! This would be such a perfect card to send a football fan for his/her birthday!
