Fun Mermaid Treats! 

We have another fun project today from our August Guest Designer, Liz! She used our Mermaid Crossing stamp set to create a fun little treat holder, filled with fish shaped crackers! I love how she fussy cut out the mermaid and the seaweed and starts to create a cute little cluster on the front of the box and also for the cute little tag! This is such a cute idea! Wouldn't these be great party favors for a kids birthday party?

Of course I had to play along -- here's the card I created. I was inspired by the cupcakes the little purple flowers to make a girly mermaid card! I grabbed our new Mermaid Crossing stamp set and started creating. I wanted wanted to make a sweet girly card with the mermaid surrounded by little tiny flowers but I ended up finding this big fun flower in my stash and it reminded me of seaweed or sea coral so I just had to use it. I colored the mermaid with Zig clean color brush markers and cut her out with an oval die. Then I added some distress ink along the edges of the oval. I also used the little tiny seaweed stamp to create a fun tonal background with brown ink on kraft paper.

I found a few other smaller flowers and then punched out a couple with different shades of purple. I added white centers to them with some liquid enamel. Then, I used the "we're mermaid for each other" sentiment, also from the Mermaid Crossing stamp set to finish it off. This card is totally different from my usual style but I'm loving how it turned out!

Happy Birthday with gold glitter too! We love this fun card by Nina-Marie using our Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set! This card totally has a fun party look with a ton of fun bright colors on the kitty in the bag with the fun confetti and tissue. The big gold letters really add to the celebratory feel and that watercolor background is so fun!

Gorgeous watercolor card by Jess! 

Today I'm sharing this beautiful floral card by Jess! She used our  a bunch of the fun flowers from our Beautiful Blossoms stamp set -and did some really cool watercolor effects! This is such a beautiful card! I love the minimal use of colors on this - you could easily switch it up and use the favorite color of the friend you're sending it to! The little "hello" sentiment is from the Fanciful Florals stamp set.

SEA-son's Greetings Card by Crafty Math Chick

SEA-sons Greetings!

Today I'm sharing a clever holiday card by Crafty Math-Chick! She had the coolest idea to take the coral from our new Tranquil Tides stamp set to create coral Christmas Tree! This is the perfect tree to for our mermaid from our new Mermaid Crossing stamp set - isn't it cute how she's decorating it with stars? She also added in our cute little crab and fish from the SEAson's Greetings stamp set to complete this fun underwater sea card! The Sea-sons greetings" sentiment is also from the SEAson's Greetings stamp set. This is such a fun and unexpected holiday card! Love this idea!

Nautical Card by Guest Designer Liz Munoz

Starfish Wishes with Liz Munoz

Today I'm sharing this fun nautical by our August Guest Designer, Liz! This card has such a cool circle layout and uses a bunch of the sea stamps from our Tranquil Tides stamp set. The images in this set work so easily together and since they are bold stamps, it's quick and easy to create your own patterns with them like Liz did.

I also love how Liz added some dimension on the bubbles and the fun wave border. The "Starfish Wishes" sentiment is also from the Tranquil Tides stamp set and goes so perfectly with this ocean scene!

Check out this beautiful under the sea scene that Larissa created for this challenge! She used our fun little Seahorse from the Tranquil Tides stamp set and cut him out with the coordinating Tranquil Tides die set! I love the added dimension she gave him with the white dots and the googlie eye!!

Here is a cute early christmas card by Samantha. I love the two bottle cut-outs with fish inside! Such a fun idea! She used our Message in a Bottle Stamp Set and Message in a Bottle Dies along with the SEAsons Greetings stamp set. 

Here is a fun birthday card by Crafty Math-Chick! I love how she used the bright colored balloon paper paired with the black and white colored kitty from the Newton's Antics Stamp set. She also used our new coordinating Newton's Anitcs purr-fect die set to cut out that cute kitty! 

Here's a card I created using our Mermaid Crossing stamp set. I colored the image on watercolor paper with Zig Clean Color watercolor markers. I love how vibrant these are! Then I added some fun bubble paper for the background and a fun blue twine bow!

I love the fun pink and black color combo and the arched shape she created for the scene to fit inside! Th soft grey coloring on that kitty is so pretty! The glittery gold bow and sequins add the perfect finishing touch.

I definitely wish I was there - on the beach like this cute kitty is! This fun summer card is by Samantha Mann. She used our Newton's Summer Vacation stamp set on this sunny creation. I love the fun "splash" background she created and the cute kitty on the rainbow beach towel! The yellow umbrella and matching yellow washi tape add the perfect summery touch.  I am really wishing for a beach day now - too bad I don't live near any!! LOL!

Here's what I created, a fun "SNAPPY Birthday" shark card using our fun Shark Bites stamp set.

I created a fun divided layout using a patterned paper for the top half of the card and the fun shark jumping out of the water for the bottom half. I also added in some red and white bakers twine for fun!

Purr-fect Quick and Easy Birthday cards!

Purr-fect Birthday Wishes

I'm back today sharing a couple of fun cards using our Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set. Sometimes I like to just sit and color images so I stamped the kitty with the birthday gifts a few times onto watercolor paper and colored him a few different ways. I was experimenting with distress markers and a water brush. Then when I'm ready to make cards, I have some images ready to go! 

For these cards I fussy cut out the images and then created a fairly simple card layout. I chose a colored base and added a strip of white, a small strip of patterned paper and some fun washi. Then I added on the kitty with dimensional dots and added in some bakers twine. 

I liked this simple layout so much that I created another card almost the same, I just chose different colors to go with the image I had colored.

On this image I colored the kitty with dots to create some "fur" texture and  I used a white pen  to add in some details on the gift too.

Past-ure Birthday

Belated Birthday card

If you're anything like me, as much as I LOVE to make cards I'm absolutely horrible at getting them out on time! I love the Farmyard Friends stamp set because it's perfect for sending birthday wishes a little late with the "it's Past-ure birthday" farm sentiment! I love this funny little farmer with his chicken too! So cute!

For my card, I stamped them on watercolor paper and colored them with Distress markers and a water brush. I then made this image the focus of the card but added some fun background paper and a strip of washi tape. Then, for fun, I added on some cute little sequins to match and some bakers twine!
