Bonjour Kitties
Today I'm sharing a couple more cards I made with the Newton Dreams of Paris stamp set. I was having so much fun coloring the images in this stamp set that I made quite a few cards with it! The first card features the hot air balloon with the kitty in it - I think this is one of my favorite Newton images yet! I stamped it with Archival black in (waterproof) onto watercolor paper and used some watercolors to color in the scene!
I loved how this turned out so much I just used it as the focal point for the card and added a bit of patterned paper and ribbon across the bottom to finish it out.
Here's another close-up so you can see the watercoloring a bit better:
I found this awesome paper pack with little eiffel towers on a few of the patterns so I knew I HAD to get it to use with the Newton Dreams of Paris stamp set! .I also used a Tim Holtz embossing folder with french script on it to create the textured background. I sponged over it with distress ink to make the embossing stand out a bit.
Here's a close-up of this card:
Hope you enjoyed these cards today - if you like this set, you can see a ton more inspiration on our Newton Dreams of Paris Pinterest Board. We create new boards for each stamp set so make sure to head over to pinterest and follow us!
