Two fun summer cards with Guest Designer Donna Idlet!

Fun Summer Cards!

Today I get to share some awesome card sets created by our June Guest Designer, Donna Idlet!  For her first card, Donna used the watermelon from our Sweet Summer fruit stamp set! Combined with our funny "thanks a melon" stamp,  this little cutie makes a perfect sweet thank you.  I love angled layout and the cute little floral sequins she added on too!

For the second card Donna used our cute new little Chicken Scratches set to create this fun little scene! I love the simple layout with the diamond shape in the center and the woodgrain paper goes so well with those little chickens!

Inky Paws Challenge #11 - Citrus Colors

Happy Friday and the the first day of #11 Inky Paws Challenge!  

This month's challenge is a COLOR Challenge!

For this challenge we want you to use these bold citrus hues!  

Lime green • Lemon Yellow • Orange • Grapefruit Pink

Love this bunch of watercolored fruit by Samantha Mann using our new Sweet Summer stamp set! The colors are so soft and pretty!  

This card by Danielle Pandeline will make you laugh! I love how she made the cherries from our new Sweet Summer stamp set look HUGE by pairing them with the dino from Prehistoric Pals!

Love the bright colored colored fruit on this card by Guest Designer Donna Idlet!.  She found the perfect paper to to with our the citrus slice stamp from our our new Sweet Summer stamp set! 

 Tessa Wise used the citrus color palette to create this awesome fun birthday card using our Newton's Birthday Bash set!  I love how she combined the patterned papers! 

This card by Larissa Heskett showcases sweet and sparkly watercolored fruits from our  Sweet Summer stamp set! What a fun look!

Sweet Fruit card by Christine Drogt!

Sweet Fruit Card by Christine! 

Today I'm sharing this fun fruit card by Christine Drogt using our new Sweet Summer set! She simply stamped all the fruit on different patterned papers and fussy cut them out. I love how the patterned papers really give the card fun pops of color without having to color! I know not everyone out there likes to color so this is another great way to use our stamps!

And a Sweet Farewell to Christine! 

Sadly, this is our SECOND goodbye this week!  This post marks Christine's last project for the Newton's Nook Designs Team! We have had so much fun having Christine on our team for the last six months! Her clean and simple style is so eye-catching and has really brought a new level of fun to our stamps!

In case you haven't  heard the news yet, Christine is moving on to do her VERY OWN stamp designs! We wish her ALL THE BEST and know her designs will be super fun! We are super excited for her and can't wait to see what she creates! She has a few sneak peeks and a couple free digital downloads on her new company blog -  Create a Smile. Beautiful golden campfire scene! 

Today I'm sharing this gorgeous campfire scene card by Samantha Mann! Isn't it beautiful? It looks like the campfire is casting off a stunning glow through the trees! 

Samantha used Winston the bear from the Winston's Birthday set and gave him a s'more and to toast with fire from our Campfire Tails stamp set! This card is so pretty! What a great birthday card!

Yummy Fruit Card by Valerie!

This yummy card by Valerie is so pretty! I just LOVE this beautiful stack of fruit with the little bits of glitter on the hearts! So pretty!  Valerie used the all the yummy fruit stamps from our Sweet Summer set along with the cute sentiments to create this card. I love all the pretty colored scalloped borders with just a touch of black to balance it out!

Sadly, this is Valerie's last post on the Newton's Nook Designs Team! Valerie has made so many beautiful cards for us over the last six months and we have really enjoyed having her on our team! We wish her ALL THE BEST as she continues on to other adventures! Thanks so much Valerie for all the inspiration you have given us - we've enjoyed every moment -  and we can't wait to see what you do next!

Beautiful Card sets with Guest Designer Ria Montefalcon!

Sweet Summer Card Sets!

Today I get to share some awesome card sets created by our June Guest Designer, Ria Montefalcon!  Ria created two adorable sweet and simple card sets using our new Sweet Summer fruit stamp set! These cards showcase a great way to use all the fruit images in this set!

For the first set she paper-pierced the fruit onto different patterned paper scraps and fussy cut them out. Then she added them to her cards with washi tape along the bottoms! So adorable! And what a great way to use up those patterned paper scraps you've been hoarding!!

For the second set she simply stamped them in black and scribbled fun color over them with markers! So simple and so fun! You could do this with watercolors too! What a fun and easy to create gift for anyone!

 Larissa created a fun angled layout for her card. This light colored card is so pretty with the pops of red -- And look at those itty bitty paper- pierced wings!

Valerie created such a cool background by embossing and sponging over the chicken wire stamp - and I LOVE that chicken tracks border!
