New Year Birdies!

I had a few minutes yesterday to make some New Year's cards so I thought I'd share those today! The first card features the Happy New Year words from the Holiday Wishes stamp set and the little birdies from the Winged Wishes stamp set! I love how these two sets coordinate!

 I stamped each image on this brushed gold card stock I had in my stash with some Versamark ink and then embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I added them onto a this fun background that I had created using a dot template and embossing paste. Then, to add more sparkle, I added some gold sequins, silver twine and some washi tape with silver and gold stars on it!

Blue and Silver New Year!

For this card I embossed the Happy New Year from our Holiday Wishes stamp set onto some vellum with gold embossing powder and then inked the edges of the paper a bit with a gold gelato stick. Then I embossed the blue background piece using a big shot embossing folder and then went over it with the gold gelato to create the fun texture! 

I also added the same gold sequins, a bit of metallic paper, and some random sequins in shades of gold, blue and woodgrain! The base layer of the card is Kraft card stock.
