Some Puppy Love Today with the Canine Christmas Stamp Set!

Isn't he sweet?

I'm am just loving this cutie patootie puppy from the Canine Christmas Stamp set! He is so much fun to color with that fun wreath around his neck! 

To create this card I stamped him with waterproof ink on watercolor paper and colored him using Tim Holtz Distress Markers and a waterbrush. This is such a fun technique! Then I cut him out with a circle die and made a slightly larger red circle to frame him. The rest of the card is really simple... I small bit of polka dotted paper, some green paper embossed with a striped embossing folder in the big shot- and some thick red satin ribbon! Oh, and I added on that "Merry Christmas" sentiment too!

Today I'm sharing a cute card I made using the Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp set! I colored the cute kitty (or should I say naughty kitty - since he's getting into Santa's milk and cookies). As I mentioned the other other day, our Newton would totally be into the cookies - he's a little cookie monster!

I colored the kitty with copic markers and then stamped and colored the hat and cut it out to pop it on his head. I added the "meowy christmas" sentiment and finished off the card with some simple snowflake patterned paper, gold striped washi tape and blue bakers twine.

Santa Claws + how to add fabric to your cards!

Happy Wednesday! Is everyone ready for some turkey filled goodness tomorrow? I am! What are you going to do over the holiday weekend? I'm hoping to work on my Christmas cards! I know -- I've been posting lots of christmas cards but I want to come up with a simple design and make a BUNCH of them to send out for this year!

Here there Santa Claws!!

Today I'm sharing two ways to use your fabric on your cards! The first one is this super fun Santa Claws card. I stamped the little crabby dude  from the SEAson's Greetings set on watercolor paper and colored him using Tim Holtz Distress markers! I curved the sentiment "santa claws" to fit around the crab! Isn't it fun how you can manipulate clear stamps like that? It adds so many options to the words! 

Then I took the anchor and stamped it on some canvas fabric with red ink -- I used Stampin Up ink but I think almost any would work. Isn't that a fun way to add some texture to your card? I frayed the edges a bit and attached it onto the card. Add some washi tape and.... done! 

For the second card I stamped the same crab  with black ink and colored the image with copic markers. Then I distressed the edges with a sponge and some distress ink.

I added some liquid "pearl" effects to his hat and then put some red burlap behind him! Burlap is also a really fun way to add some texture to your cards! It is a little messy to cut but it's so pretty, don't you think? To finish off the card I just added some patterned paper, washi tape and bakers twine!

Frosty Paws on a Snowy Day!

Awww! Check out this adorable scrapbook page by Design Team Member, Samantha Mann! Samantha took these photos of her kitty, Phoenix exploring his first snow! I love the photo with the kitty paw prints -- so adorable!

Samantha used four NND sets on her page!  The sweet kitty in a scarf is from Newton's Holiday Mischief and fun snow sentiment "snow much fun" is from Snow Day and the "baby it's cold outside" is from Frozen Friends.  Then she added on some pawprints from Newton's Antics! Here's a close-up so you can see that cute kitty!

Merry and Bright Holiday Kitty Card!

Merry Monday!

Is everyone starting to get in the holiday mood? I'm definitely getting into making holiday cards! For this card I used that cute image of Newton getting into the holiday lights from the Newton's Holiday Mischief stamp set and colored him with copic markers.  The words "merry & bright" are from the Holiday Wishes stamp set. Then I added a strip of glittery gold paper down the side and a red satin ribbon. I also added some gold glitter with a spica glitter pen - it's kind of hard to see in the photo but so pretty in real life. 

I tried to go with the CAS (clean and simple) look for this card. What do you think?

Design Team Member Samantha Mann took the cute puppy from the Canine Christmas stamp set and made it look like he's a gift tag on a present! What a creative way to use the sketch!

Here's one from me - I used the Puppy and Wreath from the Canine Christmas set and added some burlap and twine to make this "Howl-idays" card.

And one last one from me - for this card I watercolored the Octopus from SEAson's Greetings and added him on with some blue and pink patterned papers!

I love it when our Design Team and guests make things other than cards, like these adorable tags created by Danielle Lounds, our November Guest Designer! Danielle used the Snow Day Stamp set to create these fun tags. And they're loaded with details! Check out the close-ups to see her awesome coloring and the fun think hat and snow! So cool. I also love this fun color palette of neutrals with pops of blue and that yellow ribbon really adds the finishing touch!

Two Fun Winter cards by Ashely Marcu!

Ready for some Winter Fun?

Today I get to inspire you with TWO fun winter cards by Guest Designer Ashely Marcu!  Ashley has created this adorable snowman card using Frozen Friends - one of our newest stamp sets. I love how she paper pierced the hat and scarf with cute striped paper! Sooo Cute!

Next, Ashely created a fun snowy scene using the cute little penguin from our Snow Day Stamp set! I love how he looks like he's sliding down the hill! So fun!

Letters to Santa Paws!

Letters to Santa - two ways!

Today I'm sharing two cards using the little doggie delivering his letter to santa from the Canine Christmas stamp set! I had so much fun creating this cards. For the first one I colored the puppy grey and gave him a fun blue sweater and red ribbon. Then I mirrored those colors with some blue snowflake paper, grey striped washi tape and a red ribbon on the card. I finished it off with the "Happy Howl-idays" sentiment. Here's a close-up:

For the second card I used the same stamp but colored him to look more like a "scottie dog" and gave him a green sweater and red ribbon. For this card I used the "merry christmas" sentiment and the traditional red paper and twine for accents with a little bit of green washi tape too!

Whaley Great Christmas!

Having a Whaley Great Monday!

I know everyone has been enjoying the snowman cards this weekend but I thought I'd switch gears a bit today and feature a card using our SEAson's Greetings stamp set! I think this is such a fun, unique holiday set! I love the idea of surprising someone with a funny whale for christmas!  

To make this card I colored the whale and little fish from this set using copic markers and then added them onto the card base with some fun wave paper and colored burlap! Then I stamped the little anchor on kraft card stock and punched it out to make a fun little embellishment!
